Christmas morning brunch

What does everyone make for a nice easy brunch? I'm doing "lunch" at 5pm so need a good brunch at 11 ish but don't want to spend all day in the kitchen!

All suggestions welcome, I'm guessing it might just be a bacon sandwich and glass of prosecco though! Breakfast is probably going to be an extra sugary normally banned cereal!

SimplyNigella do you have a recipe for the French toast casserole?

Might do Creme Brûlée French toast this year or get DH to make brioche.

Smoked salmon with scrambled egg on a muffin or toast made with yummy seeded bread? Or a poached egg with hollandaise sauce and spinach? Pecan pastries, orange juice, pineapple, strawberries and berries to make a nice fruit salad. Cheese scones maybe!

mm I don't have a specific recipe but there are lots on Pinterest.

I generally used a sliced brioche loaf, mix together 4 eggs, a few drops of vanilla essence and a combination of milk, double cream or condensed milk depending on what I have in. Pour the mixture over the brioche and let it soak overnight. In the morning I top with a mixture of cinnamon, brown sugar and butter and bake until set. You could skip the cinnamon and spread the brioche with Nutella if you want it chocolatey.
