Best Christmas decorations

I'm buying a whole trees worth of Christmas decorations for an organisation (this is my dream job!).

Where's the best place to buy them ( it has to be online). I would say I've got a budget of about £200.

I would recommend DZD... They do trade decorations so you will get good value for money plus be able to, for instance, match baubles to company colours.

It's about 7 foot.

Kathe Wolfhart in Germany is the best for traditional imo..John lewis has lovely ideas this year. If you want glass baubles the cheapest on the high street I've found so far is HEMA. A good range of colours too.

John Lewis are lovely but with your budget probably a bit pricey! I got some really lovely stylish decs from Matalan last yr! Dream job though - wow I would love this, enjoy!

The Original Factory Shop has good glass baubles and relatively cheaper than a lot of places.

I've always bought most if my ornaments in the after-Christmas sales. I'm noticing that a lot of places have sales before Christmas now, mainly Home base/B&Q doing lights, but it's hard to find your nerve sometimes.

What colour(s)/theme are you going for?

I think white and red as its for quite a traditional organisation. Any better ideas gratefully received as I'm pretty unoriginal.

I've always found Tesco and B&Q great for lovely decorations in large sets. Using a 3 for 2 or similar offering you'd be able to decorate a large tree for good value baubles. Then you can buy smaller more expensive sets of 12 or so to have additionally to suit depending on the theme.

IKEA have large sets for not much, lots of red too. TK Maxx have lots. Remember to add more lights than you think you need for a good "full up" tree look.

Even traditional colours can look really fab and non-boring if you pay close attention to variety and texture as well. So, not just red and white baubles, but flowers, bows, bead chains, etc. Oh, and red&white? Candy canes!!!!! :)

The Range is good for decorations, and with £200 you should be able to get plenty. I bought a whole new set last year mainly from the range, tesco and JL spent about £350 but that included a new tree, garlands for the fireplace and outdoor lights!

You say "traditional firm" - what kind of firm? What are their corporate colours? NB, you don't have to tell us, but it might inspire you. If red and white are the corporate colours, perfect, of course!
