I didn't count them until after I clicked the buy button! I have an artificial 6' tree, they will all go on, won't they? It won't be stupidly over-baubled?! This is my first year with the new tree and I may have got a bit carried away Blush

You should dress your tree how you want. No such thing as too much or too many although I can't say the same about tinsel.
For me decorating the Christmas tree is personal. Each bauble on ours is unique; I look forward to unwrapping them each December 1st and looking back on happy christmasses past.
Yeah I know that's a lot of emotional stock to put into a tree but I still love it Smile

I totally misread the title of this thread as 114 babies Blush. Which is rather a different thread!

Your tree will look lovely, no doubt!

Kids won't permit a tinsel embargo so I've grown to love it Grin

I collect Christmas tree ornaments so I don't think you've gone OTT. I have to have two trees now to fit them all on. :D I bloody love Christmas trees!

I got 3 of the shatterproof bauble sets, £7.50 for 20! Couple of packs of pine cones then a few lots of the woodland animal ones. So not as expensive as it sounds!

Ooh, loving the tree photos :) The sea of presents underneath some make me feel better about over-buying for DS!

Must get some more baubles ...

Should I buy a job lot of them and have a fully jazzy tree this year?

Or do a few at a time to imbue them with memories and specialness? Hummm...

(A few years ago twat-face, which is my jolly seasonal name for Stbxh, well, he took his anger out on the tree, when we were taking the tree down, and he broke all the most beautiful baubles, that I'd built up over the years. Ones I'll never be able to replace, reminders of my sister (deceased), and beautiful irreplaceable glass decorations from countries I'd been privileged to go to and fall in love with, but won't be able to go again (like Russia & Kazakhstan etc).

Sorry Misc Sad, I say sod it and go all out this year Xmas Grin

In that case Misc, it is your duty to buy as many baubles as your tree has branches, and maybe a new tree!

I too love a busy tree and would probably guess I use at least that many for a 5 foot tree, although I do put some round the back as well in case you can see through the branches when it starts to droop (real tree) I also have two different colour themes as we had two trees the past few years, we'll only have one this year but and wanted to start a new collection of jewel coloured and retro decorations but DH has quite sensibly put a stop to that, at least until I get carried away when he's not there to reign me in!
