So it's that time of year when I am asked for what I would like for Christmas, usually my parents would like an idea, so would DP and his parents. So need at least a few things. But this year I am stuck, I can't think of anything I would like - so I thought I'd ask wise mnetters to help me create a list Grin

Sadly no vouchers allowed as I'm told vouchers aren't a wrap-able present rubbish family rule

A pair of boots
A dvd box set
Books

An easy and uncomplicated list. But he never gets it right. He always manages to buy me things that he likes or needs. He's not selfish, it's not a hidden message, he's just genuinely shite at buying gifts. Well buying anything to be honest, even buying food overwhelms him! And God help us if he needs to buy new clothes.

Anyway, that's why we don't buy gifts for eachother anymore.

A bottle of Chanel
Nice long necklace

thiswayplease · 21/10/2016 08:16

I'm after:

Victor & Rolf perfume
2017 diary (page per day)
Some hair curling device (still to make up my mind)
A leather skirt

DH used to be good at presents but has kinda given up as apparently I'm difficult to buy for now..... I've created a wish list on Amazon to guide him away from No 7 3 for 2 tat that appears every bloody year

Nothing. I've been very bad and am on the naughty list!
We are moving house so not doing presents between me and dh
Mil always gives something from next and money- I'd really like their beautiful blue floral dressing gown but will likely not get it.
We have asked for vouchers (either ikea or b&q -- boring!!) as we will have no money and lots to do on the new house

I need a new dressing gown and slippers. I love getting new pjs so I always get a couple of sets of them. I would love a replacement pair of earrings (I lost one of my favourite earrings last month - fell out my ear at a concert Sad )

Other than that I'm not fussed. It's my birthday at the end of the month and DH is getting me a Bareface London face brush I've been after for ages so I don't really need or want much else.

Mum and stepfather are giving me long term free loan of thier spare car if I pass my test in December so I consider that a present in itself as it still has 3 years MOTs and servicing covered and is road taxed etc. It will help out a lot as I won't have to fork out to buy a car.

Their*

Another fleecy onesie with hood, booties and mittens. DH had mine custom made for me years ago before they were available in shops. It's the best thing I own but it's a bugger when it's in the wash. I need another one.

Mantis1975 · 21/10/2016 13:32

I'd love a week away with my wife. Doesn't really matter where.
Not going to happen as we are saving to take the kids away.
Can't think of anything else really.

redexpat · 21/10/2016 14:31

A time turner necklace!
A metronome.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 21/10/2016 15:54

Perfume
Lindy bop dress or skirt
Silver locket and chain
Hair accessories
Comics/graphic novels
Slippers
Pjs
Onesie
Anything geeky really

as to what i will actually get, who knows. To be truthful, the thing i'd like the very most is for my birthday which is in early ish January to be remembered but it never ever is

Tenpastlate · 21/10/2016 18:48

A. An oversized grey cashmere scarf.
B. A beatifully tailored, timeless little black dress.
C. A kitten

What I will most likely get will be John Lewis vouchers and a keyring pompom Grin

GlumsTheWord · 22/10/2016 12:22

Proper sheepskin slipper boots.
The heated Babyliss hair smoothing brush.
Some Le Labo perfume (won't happen - too expensive).

SideOrderofChip · 22/10/2016 13:01

I honestly, honestly do not know

FlamingoFling · 22/10/2016 14:34

I'd also like Tom Ford black orchid, some silver stacking bracelets, the new silver bangle Fitbit, a large grey blanket scarf, some violet creams, tiny gold studs, cashmere socks, silver photo frames with pictures already in them , a stack of books, a subscription to the week and red (my guilty pleasure), a planner and a large glass vase Grin

Pengweng · 22/10/2016 14:42

A new jumper
Origins Ginger Essence perfume
After eights

GeekyWombat · 22/10/2016 18:31

Not sure what I'm going to get but I'm a bit in love with an infinity scarf that's got the complete text of Pride and Prejudice on it in teeny tiny writing. I have been dropping unsubtle hints!

LookMoreCloselier · 22/10/2016 22:16

Michael kors bracelet
Hotel chocolat
Babyliss big hair and ceramic hairdryer
PJs
MAC make up

Judydreamsofhorses · 23/10/2016 00:42

I'd like most of all for DP to get a job - was made redundant back in summer - but if not, vouchers for eating out and Heeley Eau De Sacree perfume.

HeddaGarbled · 23/10/2016 00:46

Keeping on, keeping on by Alan Bennet and a new alarm clock.

AgnesBrownsCat · 23/10/2016 16:33

I gave up on husband buying suitable presents a few years ago so now I just ask Santa( can't argue with Santa) and write a list with the children. Lol
Last year Santa bought, wrapped and left me a Lego Santa's toy shop which I insisted on building by myself.

This year I'm asking Santa for more Lego (big, big child that I am), coco chanel perfume and a painting by an irish artist . Out of all those I'd prefer the painting so think that's what I'll (Santa) will buy.

AgnesBrownsCat · 23/10/2016 16:33

Oh and slippers, love slippers.

Flanderspigeonmurderer · 23/10/2016 16:34

A nice warm blanket for my sofa.
Some pyjamas

allegretto · 23/10/2016 16:42

I am asking dh not to get me anything. I find it too upsetting tbh as fur the last few years he has consistently got me things I told him I didn't want.

AgnesBrownsCat · 23/10/2016 21:38

Allegretto I got a "what not to wear book" one year and a wooden scissors block. When I started buying my own I've loved them all.
It would be lovely to get thoughtful presents but it's not going to happen. I mean any Emma Bridgewater item and I'd be happy but I've given up.

Mrsmadevans · 23/10/2016 22:44

Esteem Lauder youth dew and the make up collection box , a new top from M&S and a lovely hamper of nice things to eat!!
