Looking for small gift ideas that are quintessentially British

Travelling to the US in a couple of weeks and looking for some small gift ideas of 'British' things that I can take for a 15yo boy, 11yo girl and their parents. They love sweets, so along those lines would be fine, but I'm also happy for little trinket collectables.

Any ideas please? Not British myself so need a bit of help!

How about the London Transport Museum shop? They do absolutely loads of stuff decorated in tube maps, London buses etc.

When I fly out of Heathrow I always pop into Harrods to buy some overpriced biscuits for our host. Very British.

Teacup and saucer

Traditional British "sweet shop" sweets such as Kola cubes, sherbert lemons, rhubarb and custards etc.

In a very similar situation, I've taken over fancy Christmas decorations - glass type of post boxes, black cabs etc etc. I'm sure John Lewis do them and handily you can get them at Heathrow in duty free!!!

For parents perhaps shortbreads or cakes in a tin.

English lavender soap, Crabtree & Evelyn are sure to do this.

A mug with one of the royals on, and some Yorkshire tea.

Always great ideas at the London Transport shop - my cousins went back to the States laden down with mugs, tote bags and fridge magnets LT

British Museum shop was also a hit BM

They also got key rings in the shape of red phone boxes and old style letter boxes - you can get them online but I suspect theirs came from one of the multitudinous stalls around the tourist sites.

In terms of sweets, things like Sherbet Fountains, refreshers, jelly babies, and licorice allsorts were allegedly a revelation - mind you, so was the fact that purple means blackcurrant so maybe purple sweets too.

Mind you Etsy has a whole range of things relating to baked beans from Earrings to candles - they are quite British too I think!

Ooh, I love the Christmas decoration ideas, they are very much into that.

M&S had some half price choc truffles today which I just to sample (sorry Slimming World) and buy, but I'll put those away and take with me instead of scoffing after dinner tonight. Or I'll still scoff them and go buy some more on Monday.

My American friends always ask for kitkats, twix and Parma violets.
