DD has found her Xmas presents.

The presents that were going to be from FC.
Now they can't be I suppose.
Shes 5.
Normally I would keep them in their post packs (bought on line) but I wanted to check these ones first.
I had hidden them very well in a place I was sure she didn't even know about.
Urgh I'm really upset about I can't really afford to buy more stuff.

Sorry for the rant. No idea what to do now.

We use lockable suitcases too - 3 on top of our triple wardrobe. One for each DC full of presents wrapped and put away. Another one with another suitcase inside in case we need them! Live there all year round and brought down for holidays when necessary so never raise any suspicions! Only issue was last year when we went away the day after Boxing Day and couldn't pack beforehand as they were stuffed with presents!

Tell her they are for your friends little girl for her birthday and you are minding them so the little girl doesnt find them. This is easier if you make an imaginary friend up. Then you can have a conversation about how lovely the presents are and maybe she could ask fc for the same. After that you need to move them

Not a thing has been mentioned since because she has lost her first tooth! The wobbly tooth has been consuming her existence. If she does remember then I will say the presents are gifts for friends children.
I've only bought them so early because I'm very pregnant and have a baby who has just turned one so I need to be ahead of the game. Next month when dc3 arrives I won't know anything about anything
