See post two for links and codes and huge thanks to firefly girl for helping me update the list so hopefully all old codes have now been banished. I can't keep the list up to date without your help so please do let me know in bold so I can't miss it if anything doesn't work Thanks

Thanks for the Aldi Halloween costume tip off - sorry, I can't remember who it was. The £3.99 skeleton outfit arrived very quickly.

Does anyone have a Monsoon code or money saving tip? I need some gorgeous little girl handbags and accessories!

RJnomore1 · 06/10/2016 22:21

Ahh thanks reastie one where you just use some yoghurt to start it would be good. We eat lots of yoghurt. Does anyone know if you must use the powder in the Lakeland one or could I use normal yoghurt after the powder was done?

Dh might like one.

BicycleMadeForTwo · 06/10/2016 22:23

Toffee Amazon have a Captain America outfit. It's listed as 8-10 years but the height is 147cm which might work?

imsorryiasked · 06/10/2016 22:28

spooky is the 120cms maybe nape to ankle rather than child height?

Toffeelatteplease · 06/10/2016 22:33

bicycle sadly too small

I'msorry I'm thinking maybe it might be.

BicycleMadeForTwo · 06/10/2016 22:40

My eldest is 3 so I've no idea about heights 😀 Will keep looking...

Wenchelda · 06/10/2016 22:42

Nermerner the unicorn referred to in the title is this giant one Smile

LotisBlue · 06/10/2016 22:43

Thanks whatdoes!

Toffeelatteplease · 06/10/2016 22:47

Bicycle I'm not sure I do anymore, I've seen so many size charts now!! Confused Grin

LotisBlue · 06/10/2016 22:50

PS thanks also to whoever posted the blippo link, I have bought lots of stuff for my dd and her friends.

Rockchick1984 · 06/10/2016 22:58

Toffee would this work iron man it's a morph suit and apparently it fits from 5' tall, which I think is about 150cm?

DillieDoily · 06/10/2016 23:07

Where is the best place to get nice personalised Christmas sacks? I only want to spend max £12 on each and I'd like them to be as big as possible

I may have succumbed to some Christmas tat today - a Santa car air freshener for £1.75!

HungryHorace · 06/10/2016 23:11

Here for sacks: handmadechristmasco.com

Search on Facebook for them as they should have an offer.

Scaredycat3000 · 06/10/2016 23:24

Toffee Aliexpress no I don't work for them do adult size costumes this was the first good selection I found, other sellers might be cheaper. I'm guessing from experience they would probably fit a small male. You could look at their t-shirts, they have full print designs. Or/and get loads of accessories, gloves, shield, the light up mask I linked too on page 2.

Whatdoesaduckdo · 06/10/2016 23:49

Whatdoesaduckdo · 06/10/2016 23:56

torthecatlady · 07/10/2016 00:09

Managed to talk myself out of the good housekeeping subscription with the Joseph Joseph bowls! A massive accomplishment considering how much I have bought from
This thread!

AmyAmoeba · 07/10/2016 00:15

Would some kind and very patient poster give me a quick recap on the unicorn situation?
The toys r us unicorn is the really huge one that lives in a washing machine and is called Robert. That much I remember!
Then there was the Argos one, which is smaller. According to the website the dimensions are H80, W24, D36cm. Am I correct that the height is what he'd measure if he was dangled as if standing on the floppy legs? But when stretched out he measures 36cm from the tip of his back hooves to the tip of his front?
Thinking of getting an IKEA husky for one child purely to create a dubious justification to buy a unicorn for another but I want them roughly the same size.
There was another medium-ish sized unicorn, wasn't there?

whatwillicallmyself · 07/10/2016 00:19

Hi Girls I am looking for some suggestions, my goddaughter is 21 just after christmas and I will be giving her money but she is also my son's godmother so I would like do a gift basket and wrap up 21 little presents from him any ideas ? thanks a million.

confuugled1 · 07/10/2016 01:42

Just spotted that I've been sent the link for 'exclusive and early access' to the TK Maxx Christmas section - so obviously the first thing I've done is to come and share it here:

confuugled1 · 07/10/2016 01:59

Whatwilli I did that for my mum's 80th - 80 little presents. It seemed a bit daunting at first but by putting in things like a bag of marbles (in case she's losing hers Grin) and a couple of packs of her favourite little bars of chocolates that had 10 in a pack, I was soon up to 80.

Pound shops can be good hunting grounds - I've recently found some nice Burts Bees coloured lip balm for a pound instead of about £7, likewise other make up and nail varnish from nice brands at a pound instead of £5-10. They also often have in nice clear make up holders. Also lots of stationery - eg some nice Zebra biros and packs of sharpies that would have been much more at full price. Plus Poundland branches often seem to have packs of trendy american sweets that are much cheaper than the supermarkets or specialist import shops.

Try ebay for things like Kawaii stationery - you can pick up very cute stuff very cheaply. Also scarves - you can get nice ones for a pound or two that I've seen for sale for £10-20 for the same thing in uk shops. Nice purses, those fold up shopping bags,

Is there anythign your ds would like to give her - even if slightly not what you'd normally give a 21 year old - a cute cuddly unicorn toy, a silly book, a whoopee cushion etc so that it is definitely from him!

All depends how much you want to spend - if you're going to put one or two nice bits and bobs in there and then pad out with funny stuff or if everything is to be nice then the price can mount up quite considerably very quickly!

Sophia1984 · 07/10/2016 04:18

Need to resist buying things I don't need while sleep deprived and feeding baby! Already got cookbook for mum but she used to read Good Housekeeping so am super tempted by subscription (and the bowls for myself.,,) Will I regret it like I already slightly regret the Corneratobe razorbdoe my Dad though?

Sophia1984 · 07/10/2016 04:38

Oh and it's not a bargain (unless you have a birthday before Christmas and sign up for a loyalty card) but I was in Paperchase yesterday and they were putting out unicorn decorations!

Chocolateteabag · 07/10/2016 05:57

Confuggled - you could maybe try to get one of the M&S Beauty Advent calendars (out at the start of Nov - last year £220 but then became £25 if you spent £40 IIRC) then you could pick out some of the bits for her and keep 3 for you? And you'd get 24 numbered boxes to boot!

Chocolateteabag · 07/10/2016 05:59

Sorry that was for whatwillicallmyself not Confuugled

Woken by DS1 at 3am and can't get back to sleep - clearly I need sleep as have become Confuggled myself!
