Ideas for activities (not stalls) for PTA Xmas fair

We already have tombola, face painting, crafts blah blah...

Want to do some activities that parents can do with their children as opposed to the kids just asking for yet more money to win crap from the lucky dip.

Thought of Christmas song bingo, and also the children have a choir so having them do a little performance.

I need more ideas like the sing bingo - really simple rules, parents and children can play together, doesn't matter if 10 families or 50 want to play (small school).

Our year 6s organise games at the PTA fairs. They could easily be given a Christmas flavour so Splat the Rat could become Splat the Christmas pudding, Guess the name of the bear - put a tea towel on its head and guess the name of the 4th wise bear (man). Not Christmassy but they have also done things like pairing up the teacher's baby photos with their photos now. One year they had 'guess the taste' which could probably be done with Christmassy spices.

We had a craft area at our Xmas fair last year, in one of the classrooms. We had 4 tables with different activity on each, encouraged parents to sit and do the activity with their child. We had: making marshmallow snowman, decorating book marks, making crackers (kit from Baker Ross), and decorating gift tags (lots of glitter!). It wasn't a huge money maker, think we had set fee to do all activities, but helped people stay longer at the fair. And was a nice thing, people chatted to each other, which I think should be aim of school events as well as fundraising.

how about reindeer masks from paper plates -we did this once it was fab

A game around the hall where initials of Christmas songs up and families to write down what they are

E.g.

AIAM. Away in a manger
JB. Jingle bells etc

A little table to make reindeer food! Porridge oats and glitter, spoon it into a little bag and tie with a ribbon

You could have a photo of each teacher, disguised with christmas themed items e.g. beard and santa hat, snowman scarf and pebble eyes etc, and have kids identify who the teacher is?

Knock the Santa Hat off the Teacher: Santa hat with cardboard insert to make it 'stand to attention', as it were & several white pom-poms as snowballs and list of 'willing' staff-volunteers. Made around £250 last Christmas fair!

You could make some festive games, name the reindeer, how many candy canes in a jar, treasure map of santa's grotto, hoopla with bottles filled with sand and painted like festive characters. Postbox to father christmas, make your own christmas cards

Make unicorn snot- hair gel and glitter.

Went to a fab local fair thing recently. Went "wine fishing" (could be soft drinks). Bottles in a bucket which was about 2 metres away. Long bamboo fishing rods with a curtain ring on the end. You had to get it round the neck to win. Cost £5 but you could have £5 and one with wine, the other a soft drink and a race - winner takes the bottle they win.....
