Ok, so some years ago I made a rod for my own back and made a large advent calendar that numbered tickets hang from with info on the back. It contains a mixture from 'choc coins hiding in the dining room' to bigger things like jumpers, socks, days out and movie nights.

I am completely stuck for two festive days out that suit everyone from 5 to 50. Any inspiration?

Trip round town to see the Christmas lights
Pantomime
Trip to see father christmas
Trip to local place in evening with christmas displays that light up
Cinema ( doesn't neccessarily have to be Christmassy!)

Meal out.
Drive around to see the Christmas lights.
Magical mystery tour to anywhere you fancy.
Christmas market, with or without ice rink.

Walk followed by hot chocolate on the beach/in the car?
Garden centre to pick a new decoration? One near us has real reindeer!

Go and look at the Christmas windows of a nearby department store?

Christmas jumper day (esp if you already have them)

Put up the Christmas tree

Go and paint a festive mug/plate/ baubles. Do something for charity like choose, wrap and gift a present or do a backpack for a homeless person.

Great suggestions, thank you. We already donate to the foodbank but something else charitable would be good for the kids though.

Our local radio collects toys for local children, might there be a similar campaign near you?

Torch walk looking for Christmas lights

Book stores quite often do collections for local children's charities around Christmas I think.
