I was going to book for Lapland UK but it's coming in more expensive than I was expecting.... £95.50 each for the first weekend of December.

Does anyone know if they are cheaper if you book as an early bird? Wondering whether to organise for next year.... £95.50 for a family of 5 is pushing it.... Do I go for it?!?!

I booked today but definitely have a bit of post purchase regret (possibly because DH had the rage about cost)

No the early bird deals aren't any cheaper. We booked a while ago for a Friday in November and it was £240 for the four of us. Last years we did a Saturday in November and it was £280 for the four of us.

We booked for Christmas eve 2 years ago and I got some kind of super early bird deal but it was still over £85 each. Must say though it was fantastic and totally worth it.

I think I might do this next year, gives me some time to save! It is outrageously expensive but it gets great reviews. Go for it!

We're doing Legoland this year, which has doubled in price - it was brilliant last year so I'm hoping it's worth it again this year.

I was going to book this on Tuesday but even though we can afford it I can't justify the cost. By the time i've bought the tickets, paid for patrol and with the money we'll spend at the actual place it will be close to £500, that's crazy! On the other hand I the kids would love it!!! Dh would go along with it but only to keep me happy, he already thinks I'm a loon when it comes to Christmas and that the price is extortionate but I've gone on about it for ages. Maybe next year...

We only spent about £50 whilst we were there including hot food, it's quite reasonable

Yes we didn't spend too much either to be honest! I had pre-booked the christmas toy they 'make' in the workshop to smuggle home for £25, but we spent max £40 on lunch for 4 of us, and got a couple of small souvenirs for the kids.

I've booked it!!! :)

An obscene amount of money, but my DSIL passed away last year aged 33 - it's put a different perspective on life for me and hopefully dreams will be made!!

I am now very excited!!!!

I've changed my mind and I going to book it later. The kids will love it and remember it forever so its definately worth the money

We did it last year. It is expensive but also very good. My 5 year old still talks about meeting Father Christmas. My 8 year old has just worked out Father Christmas isn't real so I'm glad we did it last year when it was still magical for her.
For us it was a one off treat.

Crazy amount of money but I figured I'd spend that much on a weekend away and I think it will be more special than a weekend away!

I just wanted to let you know I drove past a beautiful area of woodland yesterday, i said to my husband, " wow what an enchanting area of woodland" Then I saw the "lapland UK delivery sign" !

Its in a wood but as I said - this particular area was so beautiful.I am not going but it made me excited to see it, I can imagine they really do make it exquisite

Do report back op, am tempted for next year

I registered a few weeks ago so I think I had priority access to the tickets.

Not sure when they go on sale to people who didn't register....

I went through to payment & couldn't do it. Over £300 for me, the 5 year old & a 2 year old who won't remember it anyway.
It looks amazing but I think I'll wait a couple of years & hope the oldest still believes.
We're going back to willows farm which was great last year for the relative bargains £70

I waited years and finally did it when DD was 8 last year, as I knew it could be the last year that she believed. It is absolutely worth the money.

Can anyone explain to me what Lapland UK is actually like? I have a 7 year old who I think would like it but I'm not sure how it works.

There's another Lapland uk thread in this topic which I put some photos onto.

It's quite the interactive theatrical performance. You go in and get a story by some elves then you go through to the toy factory and help make some toys. Next it's through to mother Christmas where you get to decorate gingerbread and she reads you a story.

After than its through to the village where there's an ice rink, restaurant, shops, Huskies etc.

Everything is sparkly and loads of fake snow.

You then go on a festive walk through the woods to a cabin where an elf will take you off to see Father Christmas.
