I have a spineless book poster (Harry Potter) it's massive!!

Tiggles · 24/09/2016 22:45

Never did I think I would ever be typing 'juggling poo balls' into my amazon search bar Grin.

Tiggles · 24/09/2016 22:48

There are even poo slippers... I really need to step away from Amazon

SheStoodInTheStorm · 24/09/2016 22:56

Confuugled I would love that much more than wine or chocs or mugs

I'd be thrilled.

And to whoever posted about the Harry Potter one, I am off to Google eyes up wall space

ShoppingBasket · 24/09/2016 23:05

I am a bit jealous of all your unicorns so had anyone seen a sea turtle ... Maybe not as big as Robert but large please

ZIGGY911 · 24/09/2016 23:07

looking for 4 year old girl. are the into Sofia or is that younger?

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 24/09/2016 23:09

I know. I used to be civilised before this thread Blush now I'm suggesting people use poo juggling balls as a thoughtful Christmas gift Hmm

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 24/09/2016 23:11

I have finished shopping for DS now (not that that actually means anything!!) so just gathering ideas as all the family like ideas. He is in a real vet/doctor phase so I had thought about a playmobil set but he'll only be 2.8 at Christmas and I think the sets may be too fiddly and frustrate him. Does anyone have any recommendations

confuugled1 · 24/09/2016 23:14

Ooh thanks SheStood, I might go for it then. Wasn't sure if it was one of those ideas that was on the good side of mad or on the wrong side of mad Xmas Grin

I have given mugs once in the past - but in my defence they were the systema plastic ones that you can use to heat up soup in the microwave rather than 'I luffs my teach' ones. And filled with a bag of chocolate coins.

The teachers did seem quite pleased with them - and I did see them in use when I was in the school helping out, especially when it was cold and they'd brought something like soup or leftovers in to be warmed up.

Thinking about it, it's around now that they start to reduce the prices of that sort of thing, once all the uni students have gone back to uni.

EllaHen · 24/09/2016 23:15

Pug fans - did you see this scarf:

www.lisaangel.co.uk/yellow-polka-dot-pug-print-scarf in the Lisa Angel sale?

Total bargain.

RJnomore1 · 24/09/2016 23:16

Does he have a doctor dress up and set? I had one when I was little abd I loved it.

SheStoodInTheStorm · 24/09/2016 23:18

Ah those mugs are great confuugled and ones that hold soup etc. I don't drink tea or coffee so a mug is totally useless and just gets added to the staff room. Most teachers would honestly be happy with a card and for parents to save their money. But a useful gift or something a bit different like that print would always be welcome, though never expected!

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 24/09/2016 23:24

Yes he does, me and the dogs are always sporting bandages and Elastoplasts Grin. Was thinking more a toy so other people could be the patient for a change Grin

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 24/09/2016 23:24

ziggy my 4 year old loves paw patrol, stickers, busy books (they do a Sofia one but paw patrol is in continual use here!), mashems, plastic animals, magnetic scribbler. Also doctors kit and China teaset are used quite frequently.

I work in a preschool and paw patrol is v v popular amongst most of the 2-4 year olds we have!

woodwaj · 24/09/2016 23:25

Not particularly a bargain but a good laugh especially for the office secret santa

I thought we could use this one for our

Christmas shopping lists!

RJnomore1 · 24/09/2016 23:36

How about this fuelled? Grin

For those of you looking for teacher/nursery presents, last year I got DD2's Reception teacher a £££ Paperchase list book. Apparently all the other teacher's were envious andB&M have this version for £3.

I'm also reliably informed that blu-tak is like gold dust in most schools so adding a pack of that would go down wellGrin. Teachers do seem to have to buy an awful lot of their own stationary so that might be a practical gift to go for

dillyduck · 25/09/2016 00:16

Any teachers on here - do you reckon those Book People spineless style posters would be suitable for a teacher present or would that be a bit of an odd thing to get?

Would you like to be given them as a gift? Teachers are just people.

BoaConstrictor · 25/09/2016 00:19

On the subject of Wilko blox, their base plates are so much cheaper than the branded ones & completely compatible. The DC have built many more buildings since having the base plates.

BoaConstrictor · 25/09/2016 00:21

Fueled we have the Playmobil vet set & I'd say it is one of the more fiddly sets and you can't take the small, fiddly bits away as it wouldn't be much without that. There's an X-ray machine to change slides in, head bucket things for dogs & cats, small tube bandages etc.

BoaConstrictor · 25/09/2016 00:23

Lego Friends Advent Calendar down to £14.53 again on Amazon

Whattodowithaminute · 25/09/2016 00:23

Place mark... Have resisted Robert, mermaid blanket and cornerstone so far which means I haven't started the shopping yet and need to step up to this Christmas lark!!

clippityclop · 25/09/2016 00:52

Teen DDs have loads of pjs so I was thinking of getting Christmas bedding for their Christmas eve presents. Where can I get something pretty, pref 100% cotton?

FeelingSmurfy · 25/09/2016 01:13

Any teacher presents that could be used in the classroom, for primary teacher, I'm thinking it would be thoughtful, save teacher money if something she would buy, all kids get benefit from it, teacher isn't going to be overrun with it...

I'm thinking sort of decorative I think, they have plenty of books and the art supplies are fine
