I'm in same boat. For his recent birthday my sister bought him two large canvasses and a pack of mini spray paintS. He loved it, practiced some graffiti and it's now in his room.

Lovepancakes · 18/09/2016 21:18

I would focus on something lovely you can do together - tickets to something very exciting or even an amazing trip somewhere?

StrumpersPlunkett · 18/09/2016 22:03

I have this problem as well I'm looking at the wireless beats earbuds but don't know if they'd be to big for him.
On his list so far I have a young drivers lesson, aftershave, Lacoste hoody, anti gravity phone case.
It gets harder each year.

StrumpersPlunkett · 18/09/2016 22:36

Ooooooooh young drivers lessons will be thinking about it for next year.
Wireless earbuds! Didn't know they existed will look at them for me😬

Mine was like this last year so i bought him a phone projector (cardboard thing) you build yourself to put images onto the wall. i also got him a fish eye lens for his phone camera.

WeAllHaveWings · 19/09/2016 12:42

I'm really struggling with mine too, it looks like we will be going for custom footie boots for >£200 Shock, some Adidas/TNF clothing as there is nothing else he wants/needs. He'll get the usual football and football related stuff.

Its going to cost a fortune, but will be mostly branded clothes I refuse to buy the rest of the year for him. I've given up spending money on "fun" gadgets (did consider a drone) as he just doesn't play with them.

Might consider the young drivers lesson.

DoItTooJulia · 19/09/2016 12:45

Does he like coding/robots because the Lego NXT robots are £££ but amazing!

DailyMailPenisPieces · 19/09/2016 12:50

This is good - and cheap - can be used with some games they play on phones: www.amazon.co.uk/Google-Cardboard-45mm-Focal-Length/dp/B00TF9CBUO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1474285760&sr=8-3&keywords=google+box

Modelling clay and tools?
Funniest videos on YouTube book.
Pokemon go guide book if he's into that.
Make him up a movie hamper? - popcorn, juice, American sweets, DVDs, cinema gift card.

The birthday of mine is coming up and I took lots of inspiration from here :). I also get mine the new Rick Riordan book, the new Wimpy Kid book and the Sidmen book.

WankersHacksandThieves · 20/09/2016 15:13

Virtual reality headset for his phone?

What is it he is doing on the phone - playing games or being social?

Mine have an Nvidia tablet which is good for gaming.

Guinness book of records/Ripleys book. Magazine subscription.

TV or smart box for TV

Heavenscent86 · 22/09/2016 00:15
