I am taking reasties great idea and buying 25 little gifts for a advent calendar. All wrapped, name of DC, number 1-25 on them and place them all in the Christmas box. I'm so glad of the change as really don't want to see another Lego calendar!

Any ideas? So far I have ...
Christmas foam planes
DVD
Can of coke huge treat in this house
Trip to the cinema
Christmas pencils

DCs are tweens. Thanks

Top trumps, pokemon cards, wacky pens and pencils - drumsticks pens and pencils, puzzles, reindeer antler game, splat snowballs - look for stocking fillers - maybe Hawkins bazaar?

Dd1s godfather has done this for her for the past 8ish years, she's 16 now and still loves waiting to unwrsp and see the little treats he's got her. Last year he bought her, her own a nativity set and wrapped a different part of it for most days. She also gets little things like

Nail polish/emery boards/buffer
Hair accessories
Novelty erasers
Funky pens/pencils and note pads/other stationary bits
Funky pair of Christmas socks
Paintbrushes/art supplies
Hoof pick and other horsey bits... dd has her own horse.
Stickers
'Posh' shampoo/conditioner
Odd bits and bobs that are related to music/her instruments (music obsessed and plays 5 instruments!)
Nice chocolate or sweets

Key ring
Small torch
Origami paper and instructions (The Book People often have this)
Packs of paper strips to make paper chain, (give early in the month)
On the 6th Dec give something related to St Nicholas, eg biscuit shaped like a Bishop's mitre
Fun bath things, glitter bath bombs etc

Finger torches, balancing dragonflies, Christmas craft, novelty paper clips. Blue tac (don't know why but they love it). Wooden key ring with their name on.

I saw this the other day and thought it was a great selection of small cheap toys that my boys would love. Obviously I wouldn't pay that price but I'm sure you could get most things off Amazon - wondering if I should make up some of my own advent packs to sell at the local fairs in November . . .
