DS2 has broken his dynamo torch. But as Santa put it in his stocking how do i replace it for him? He's really upset. Its easy enough and cheap enough for me to buy a new one but how do i explain the santa part of it?

I've just taken a marble race back, and I said loudly to the assistant - "This hasn't got the right pieces and Santa is on his holidays right now - so has asked me to bring it here. is this the right place to bring Santa toys back to?" Then I pointed at ds and winked.

She said "oh, yes madam, the correct place indeed. Did Santa send you the receipt in his magic mail?"

I broke a Womble one Christmas and Dad said it had been sent to Tobermory to be fixed. That was the best.

Say you'll leave it out for the elves to collect on an agreed day with a note asking for them to fix it and in the morning the 'new' torch will be waiting for him.

Thanks. Good ideas. Leaving it out for the elves will probably work best.
I just hope the shop has some left!

Get a replacement first, then get DS to write a letter to Santa explaining what has happened and could he fix it?

Leave out stocking with old one in it and replace with new one. Chuck old one away CAREFULLY.

Clever old Santa!

Ah yes good idea to buy replacement 1st! I think the old one may end up in a bin far away from the house! Lol!

This happened to me when I was around 3. The Fisher Price radio Santa brought me broke sooner than it should have. My Mum and I posted it back to Santa who posted me a replacement.
