Did anyone get this dvd free in one of the Sunday papers a few weeks back? I think it may have been the Mail (yes I know what you all think but they have a ?1500 crossword on a sunday!). Well I couldn't find anything Christmassy to watch while I wrap the stocking fillers so I put it on. It's truly dreadful but I find myself watching anyway. It stars Angela Lansbury and is a musical. Special features - over-acting, heavy-handed american type moralising and every cliche possible. Mrs Claus has got stranded in 1910 New York with a lame reindeer and so far she has persuaded all the women to march to demand the vote, befriended all the strangely clean well-pressed little orphan children after getting a job in a toy factory, and is now campaigning to stop child labour. Oops, now the evil toy factory owner has guessed who she is and has stolen all the reindeer to get his own back.......argh! someone make me switch it off !
