Does anyone else want to do Operation Mumsnet again next year?

I really enjoyed giving presents this year and shopping for other peoples kids and it makes me feel all warm and good inside for helping kids, i would ideally like to do it again next year and possibly send to the same kids as i know the sex and ages

Me too... hope it becomes an annual thing

No

But ask me again in September and it may be like child birth - I will have complete amnesia over the whole thing

i deffo think your present soapbox should be not having to do it again!

but what about doing a very quick post/document somewhere how to do it and what went right/wrong, so that somebody almost as lovely as you can do it in 2007?

I'm sure someone would offer to take your role next year soapy! I would offer to do it myself but think that a combination of four children and a remote location would make it a little impractical. But I would help with matching up/emailing like a shot. I would love to "give something back"

Think it worked grat this year and I really nejoyed giving but dynamics of MN change so much in a year.. really think you'd have to wait until next Christmas to think about it being possible again..

Yes - but the cynic in me says leave a decision until nearer the time, or we could find people appearing here purely on the expectation of a pile of freebies next Christmas, which would rather negate/dilute the original intention.
