The STV Malawi appeal has surpassed it's target of £500,000 which will be matched by Sir Tom Hunter. The money will build a new maternity hospital to replave Bottom Hospital in Malawi.

Generous mumsnetters who don't live in Scotland have boosted the donations for this appeal. I visited Bottom hospital in September and the conditions are exactly as the video describes. It is wonderful that mums here are supporting mothers across the world.
