How far in advance did people book their shopping delivery slots?

My local tesco has had the slots all booked up for the last week and I now have to join the scrum for a turkey.

About 4 weeks - last ocado slots

I'm feeling jealous of the fab shopping list posted on another thread and also stupid for not thinking to book a slot sooner.

couple of weeks ago

Booked mine on the 2nd Dec. Delivered today. And with no substitutions.
Only problem is that the chocolate trifles have tomorrows date on(eat by 21st)! I don't know how i'm going to eat 2 of them that quick!!

A few years ago Sainsburys delivered to me on Christmas Eve (they don't do it any more), left out a couple of crucial things and gave me some stupid substitutions. When I phoned to complain I got a "what do you expect, we're busy" response!!!! I kicked up such a stink the manager of the store ended up personally delivering my missing items. It was so stressful though that I would prefer to go myself at some bizzare hour - I reckon midnight on Friday will see the place empty.

About 2 weeks ago with Tesco and it came this morning, every last thing I ordered too!!! So my house now full of beer, wine, Baileys, nibbles -bring it on!

snowy, i had something similar with tesco a couple of years ago, it was delivered on the 23rd though. DH ended up going into Dundee to teh Tesco there to get the missing things - all of which were things that i needed like cream, milk, etc. I don't know why they substituted them though, there were plenty left when DH went.
Mine is booked to come on friday between 10 am and 12. Am waiting with baited breath
