My penultimate son will be four at the end of january.
he is sooo full of awe and so impressed with the minutiae of life its soo lovely
I dont remember feeling so enchanted by my older ones - maybe its because i am older now.
i asked him last night what he would like for christmas and he said ' presents - snow and butter'
3 year olds rock!

3 year olds really do rock. I have a 3 year old boy too, they are gorgeous.

3yr olds are fab..well most of the time as ds goiong through that answering back stage but he is soo adorable..he made me describe everything we would do on christmas eve and christmas day today..

tiredemma · 19/12/2006 10:53

my 3 yr old is just so enchanting, in awe of xmas.

Each morning he runs into the living room and switches the tree lights on and stands there staring for ages saying "look at the pretties mommy"

We had to Rotary Club come up the road the other day with father xmas on a mock sleigh thing, he was over the moon.

"its father christmas, look mommy and daddy- its father christmas!!!"
He was so delighted. Gawd I love him so much, my boys are my world, I never want them to grow up, I want them to stay young forever. ( I want to stay young forever!!

TurkeyTrotter · 19/12/2006 14:13

I keep saying I wish I could keep mine this age forever but alas no!!!!
The magic of christmas is so real to them.
I caught him naming the light colours on the lights round our spindles - all on his own in whispers...so lovely!

my DS will be 3 in April and is totally blown away by the whole christmas thingy. We have seen Santa twice (at Christmas Parties) and once in the shopping centre. He is totally obsessed by how many sleeps are left till Santa comes and was distraught when told by my brother that Santa wasn't coming to his house on christmas eve.!! I was going in for the kill on my dear brother when DS pipped up - "S'okay. I sleep my nana's - Santa knows" I never want him to get any older - i think he is brilliant! TT

I wish that we could keep them as they are for a while - just freeze time for a bit. It seems to slip by without me noticing. My youngest is going to be 4 in Feb and 100% adorable. He only came out of nappies back in the summer and I've not got over how gorgeous his little bottom looks in pants .

SnowMuchToBits · 19/12/2006 14:30

Mine is 6 and still really cute and gorgeous, but I wish he could stay like this, as its a lovely age. He's old enough to be able to do lots of things but not old enough to be cynical about life yet.

Yes little boys are scrummy aren't they...you could eat them up
ds is now 9 sigh....stroppy mostly but still scrummy occasionally
dd is 3 though
3 going on 13

Troutpout · 19/12/2006 14:31

My 3 yr old is a DD but I am loving this xmas so much!! She has announced a need to go and see santa and ask him for a care bears skipping rope and a jumpoline (so I need to toddle off and fine a skipping rope I can draw "care bear hearts" on) - when asked what she wanted for christmas she said that she wants me to make her a purple card with a lady father christmas on it

Oh, and she wants to go inside all the houses with decorations outside

IdrisTheRedNosedDragon · 19/12/2006 14:36

DS is 3 and gorgeous .

TurkeyTrotter · 19/12/2006 14:39

maybe its just three year olds. My face is in a sickly sweet gaze at mine 90% of the time

NOELallie · 19/12/2006 14:43

Yep. I think it's probably unfair that he can be a little Sh*t and I still think 'awww...isn't he gorgeous'. 9yr old DS is also scrummy but differently. DD is so 7 and so mature, beautiful and sensible that I am simply in awe of her . I'm sure that I wasn't anything like that at her age...

TerrbileTwos · 19/12/2006 14:49

i just love the enthusiam which kicks off every day!! 'i was waky up-ed. Mummy can i have frekbast?' I wanna help you make frekbast'
and the way he comes barreling down the stairs knocking me into the front door when i get home from work!!!!!! makes any shitty day disappear in seconds!!
