oh what is it with my brain and Christmas cards? I seem to develop this strange phenomenon!

Whenever I sit down to write the Christmas cards my brain seems to freeze and I can't for the life of me remember friends' spouses names, or children I know them, but for some reason my brain seems to block them from me when I sit down to write out my Christmas cards!!!

ARRRRGGHHHHHHHH !!!!!!

Am I alone in this strange phenomenon?

I'm OK on my family and friends, but DH's family???

Actually I have to confess to leaving one card this year until I received theirs first, because I had forgotten their children's names. It will be going first class tomorrow!

I have it all in a book, but every year I have to check with DH to see which of his elderly relatives has died that year. ANd regularly have to ring my mum to find relatives' addresses.

I keep meaning to make myself a Christmas card list but somehow I never seem to get round to it!!

drats.. what is the name of that child? I can see him in my head but I just can't quite remember his name! I remembered it when I thought of the family to write the card to and by the time I opened the card to write in it.. zip. gone... blank

The easiest way is simply to keep the cards you get this year with your Christmas decorations. Next year you will know exactly who sent you them and you'll have twice as many cards to hang up so you look more popular than you actually are.

It's not so much other peoples kids names I have trouble remembering...... I have to check and then re-check when writing the cards that I've got all our names right!!!! Last year, I wrote all my cards to 'friend and ds's name' then had to cross it out and write 'sorry - preg head!!!!' crazy days!
