lights around windows on the inside and a few christmas trees in windows that's all there is in my street.

Tonight though we went out in the car and drove around an estate of big posh houses near us that have got loads of lights hanging outside their houses, they were beautiful.

I agree about the blue lights, I almost crashed last night while having my retinas burned out! Outdoor stuff seems to be a biggie this year. Round here it's mostly wreaths and twinkly lights in big trees but the farmhouse at the end of our lane has got huge, manic flashing lights threaded all over the garden, hedges and all! It was great tonight in the fog, I could find my way home.

ours is a fairly bare road - nothing inflatable but distinct lack of wreaths too,

there is a house about 10 mins away which pulls out a nativity scene every year. i thinkthey painted it themselves as the donkey looks like he's just taken it up the arse, one of the wise men looks lke he's about the steal the donkey and the baby jesus looks like queen elizabeth II its hilarious

that is hilarious. Someone on MN lives near a bizarre hacked and painted tree - perhaps you could introduce a new tradition to the neighbours?

It's all white lights on real trees, and real candles in the windows around here. Plus a few wreaths, but they're of the modern artistic variety - haven't spotted any traditional holly ones yet.

Only 3 houses down our lane. At the top is a big old silver birch which has white lights on, next door haven't got anything at the moment. We've got a wreath on the front door that is only there because I decided to put the lump of cedar that fell off next door's tree a few weeks ago to use. And we have a jam jar with a snowman painted on it on a stick that came from a carol concert last weekend.
