all my kids pressies are from dh and i, exept the sweets in their (little) stockings. We don't even really say that they are from father christmas, but if they choose to believe that as they grow up a bit and mix more with other kids then thats fine.

father xmas, but lots are bought by us or grandparents and sent off for him to deliver.

SpicymulledSheraz · 18/12/2006 20:35

We tell them that mummy and Daddy buy the presents from Santa ( he sends us a bill) and Santa makes them and delivers them. Had to think of something when DS1 asked why santa doesn't give so many presents to the poor shidren in africa.

mumeeee · 18/12/2006 21:05

My Children are all teenagers now. But when they were small we said just stocking stuff was from Father Christmas and all other presents were from us and other relations. That is what my parents did and that is also what my nephew and nieces are told.

charliecat · 18/12/2006 21:07

Everythings from Santa, unless they spot something...in which case it gets wrapped from us

WigWamBam · 18/12/2006 21:10

Apart from dd's stocking present, they're from whoever sent them - including us. Dd would never believe that everyone else had sent her a present but Mummy and Daddy hadn't, and she knows that presents come from other people because she has to write thank-yous. They have to go to Santa, and he delivers them.

Exactly the same as mumeeee

Just had this issue ourselves.

Ds1 is 5.5 so time to change it now! Have told them now that FC brings some of them but we also buy them something as will Nanny and Grandad, Uncle D, Uncle S etc. Otherwise it gets too difficult to keep to the 'lie' so to speak.

It's all been from FC in teh past but ds1 won't remember that from being 4.

I think we will say stockings are from FC, most of the presents and the 'main' one is from us. This is what my friend told me she says and since our boys are really close - it's best they believe the same thing!!

Posey · 18/12/2006 21:11

Oh except my kids aren't yet teenagers!

Glitterygookwithchocsonthetree · 18/12/2006 21:12

Yes, we will also say that we tell FC what to get from us and he delivers everything. He will also deliver gifts from grandparents to their house because we've told him we are visiting there!!

Glassofwine · 18/12/2006 21:13

We say that all the presents we bought are from Santa except for one, which is from us. All gifts from family adn friends are from them. I do think, however that we've made a rod for our own backs with this one.
