I saw Santa in Tesco, fell in love with him and took him home with me....

Those fluffy ones, part of the 'Chilly' soft toy range. He's a medium sized one, not a tiny chap, and was only £6.37. Bargain. What a jolly chap he is too. I wheeled him round in the baby seat of the trolley feeling every inch the proud Mum (my youngest child is 7 ). Poor thing had only been in the house 5 mins, when I caught the dog humping him on the dining room floor... . Quick rescue, his beard was a bit damp, but otherwise none the worse for the experience.

Ok I really can't think of an appropriate reply.......

Saturn74 · 17/12/2006 11:48

Erm.... delighted for you, but please wash Santa's beard!

dontgivethedogsprouts · 17/12/2006 11:52

I have chilly snowman, didn't know they did more, may have to add to collection. he sits on mantlepiece at Christmas time. It's probably the only soft toy DS was bought that I didn't sigh sadly at and wonder how I could throw without offending anyone They are lovely aren't they?

7swansaswimmingup · 17/12/2006 12:30

lucky you, they didnt have the range in our tescos this year, dont know why. i always buy one of chilly toys

PartridgeinaRustyBearTree · 17/12/2006 12:35

Oh, it certainly entertained me, dontgivethedogsprouts (tho' not as much as your name does ) - I just didn't know whether you wanted:
(a) admiration for finding such a bargain
(b) sympathy for your broodiness
(c) advice re your randy dog or
(d) where to find trauma counselling for rape-victim Santas

BudaBauble · 17/12/2006 12:37

LOL at partridge's responses!!!

butterflymum · 17/12/2006 13:44

Little 'Chilly' has been hanging from my hanbag since I bought him a couple of weeks ago. Thought he might get me in the mood for Christmas shopping. He is so cute.

dontgivethedogsprouts · 17/12/2006 21:42

Didn't actually want anything, Partridge, was just intended as a lighthearted thread..
Careful there with the rape victim thing, you'll have the MN insensitive thread title force out in their droves.

PartridgeinaRustyBearTree · 17/12/2006 22:12

Mmm, I did wonder about that when I posted.... it's not actually in the title though, so there's a chance it might escape their beady eyes....

Think we still have the chilly penguin upstairs somewhere - they must have been around for I while as I got him for DS, who is 19 now

dontgivethedogsprouts · 17/12/2006 22:14

Waging? Is that even a word?

OP posts:
PartridgeinaRustyBearTree · 17/12/2006 22:14

..a while, obviously

PartridgeinaRustyBearTree · 17/12/2006 22:16

actually I said 'raped Santas' at first, but I thought that did look a bit

FairyTaleOfNewYork · 17/12/2006 22:19

pmsl.

our tesco santa is an elderly 3years old, he comes down from the loft each xmas. the reindeer was a new additon last year, dd2 has claimed him as hers. might see what bargain one we can get this year.

Nemoinapeartree · 17/12/2006 22:22

misdee think we have same santa as you as we got ours for DS first xmas and take his pic next to it every year so he can see how he has grown. Love him and the Dc love him too.

dontgivethedogsprouts · 17/12/2006 22:22

I saw the reindeer too, was tempted by that but didn't get it.

Ive got Santa, Rudolf and the Snowman! they look cute but the tunes get a bit annoying after being pressed about 100 times each every day.
