Me, a lemon, a bloody fresh lemon.
Not a disaster but every year.
I guess it's not Christmas without something being forgotten.

Lime for the g&t. Thankfully have the g, and texted DP earlier when I remembered the t, totally forgot the lime tho. Ah well, could be worse.

Oh and chocolate coins. Well that's DP's fault. He forgot to replace them. He may be forgiven tho, as he had already been through checkout by the time I texted about the aforementioned t, and he went back to the madness that was asda to get it.

Ooh, lemons. I didn't even realise I didn't have lemons for my smoked salmon til now. Oh well. It's only me that eats it and the accompanying scrambled eggs with cream and butter and sea salt and ground pepper will be lush anyway

Nothing I think this year.... Last year baby was discharged from hospital with bronchiolitis on Christmas Eve.... Flew home to parents for Christmas so proud of remembering all presents.... No formula for baby.... Crisis averted by lovely shopkeeper in parents town who dropped some up early Christmas morning

Complete forgot about the a book dd really wanted. I did buy it, and hid it and now can't find it and only just remembered it ever existed.

Fucking batteries
Not such a disaster as I think they have plenty of other exciting things to detract their attention away from the couple of bits that require them, and dc2 has a Polaroid camera which according to the box has Them already.
But still. They were on my list and everything

Batteries here too. I thought I had at least 1 pack of each kind but no, masses of AA but no AAA which DD1 needs for her blooming zoomer zuppy thing. I resented buying the blasted thing in the first place but it was the only thing she actually asked for (she rarely asks for anything) and I had enough club card vouchers so I gave in. Now we can't even turn it on. Luckily she has been too distracted by the playmobil and aqua beads to get upset so I'm just hoping that lasts until morning.

To take the damn pigs in blankets out of the sodding freezer!!

SD Memory Card for dd's new camera making her main present useless until we can get one! Grrr. She's currently playing with her younger siblings playmobil so not a big deal, but still, I'm pissed about it.
Oh, and my brother bought ds a huge JCB train and track set but omitted to provide the big C batteries to run the darn thing. But hey.

I thought I had a spare roll but luckily checked before using it with gay abandon. A few pieces had to be used twice but we managed.

I forgot to buy more soya milk for my coffee .
I was in Sainsburys with DH , they had one carton of the one I like. DH said he;d pick some up on his way from work, I said "It's ok, I'll get some....."

And forgot.
I had my Emergency UHT Soya milk (which is passable in coffee but nothing to get excited about)

Rationed coffee + housefull of people...................
