Thought we could make the mixture today or tomorrow and stick in the freezer. Defrost over night ready to be cooked on Christmas day. Same for bread sauce. Would that work?

God I hope so, mine's in the freezer now. First time trying it this year so no good advice to give.

Hehe thanks fakename. I hope so too!

Yes, it's just sausagemeat really, so will be fine.

GrannyGoggles · 22/12/2015 16:36

Yes it can. Tbh, if you've left it this close I'd prep it tomorrow and keep it in the fridge. You'll have to get it out on Thursday for it to be fully defrosted.

Yep but as Granny says it might make more sense just to make it tomorrow and keep it in the fridge. That's my plan, too!

We were going to do one veggie one and one sausagemeat one.I know it seems a bit late to bother freezing but our fridge is stacked and we have a nearly empty freezer in the garage. Thanks everyone.

Does anyone know if bread sauce can be made and frozen?
