Still need something for dh from our ds

I've already bought him a main present from me but I wanted to get him something small from our 20 month old ds. I still can't think of anything though! Has anyone got any ideas?

A mug with Daddy on it?

What are his interests? Any hobbies? My DH is hard to buy for, things to do with his bicycle have been good in the past, he likes cooking so Spicery packs or chilli sauce have been good. This year he has gloves and a book. Any good?

When dd was tiny 'she' got daddy a book on clouds because she loved a staring at the sky, and he lives anything geography related.

We don't bother with presents for ourselfs. Your son will not remember. Don't by stress over it

Sorry, I should have said - they have a shared love of cars/any vehicles and dogs. They go swimming together a lot and to the park. Not sure if thats any help? Something they could do together would be ideal.

I would like to get him something because I think it would mean a lot to him. Last year I got him a keyring with a nice photo of the 2 of them in and he really loved that.

If he uses a computer much, how about a mouse mat with a photo of the two of them on it?

Don't bother! Your son is too young to have any input or understanding.
Next Christmas you can help him make a card or special picture for daddy.

Yes the ds won't know exactly, but even very small children love joining in on making, shopping or wrapping and 'taking things to daddy', besides the fact OP wants to bother

A card with hand and footprints on? I did this with my then 18 month old when it was Father's Day. Child enjoyed Dad loved.

A book mark? You cut out, punch hole, attach ribbon, let little one put on some stickers.

I've got dh a photobook with about 30 photos taken of the kids, a couple with him and one with me, over the whole of the year, a couple from each month. I got them off our phones, ones that might not ordinarily get printed ifyswim, not necessarily from holidays or big days out, just little trips to the park, playing games round the house. You can really see them changing. That's his gift from the children this year. Cost about £6.50 from Tesco.

Schleich animal models, or model vehicles. Game they can play together - puzzle or remote control something. Superhero Duplo?

A little manbag rucksack for when they go swimming together?

Dd (3.5) wanted to get her daddy some dinosaur Lego. DH has no interest in Lego except when he plays with it with her so no idea where this idea where it came from. A friend told me about Nano lego/bricks so we got 2 packs. One a trex one another dinosaur I can't remember the name of

Thank you for all your ideas. I'm going to do the bookmark one because he's currently working his way through a series of novels so thats perfect. And ds will love being let loose with the stickers etc. I'm saving lots of these ideas for future xmas/birthday ideas though, they're great thanks .

And yes I know lots of people wouldn't bother at this age but it really will mean a lot to my dh and ds will enjoy making it.

A work friend of mine has a young son. Last Christmas his wife bought him a hardbacked 2015 diary and got their DS to decorate the cover with stickers and covered it with clear sticky back plastic. They also wrote a message in the front.

My friend has used it every day at work and he treasures it. I thought it was a really sweet idea.

Already on it kiwi - I'm borrowing a laminator from someone tomorrow . The fingerprints idea is very cute. Definitely doing that.
