The polite thing to do...

or at least the merciful thing...

for those hideously organised people who write and send out christmas cards nice and early (or at all) the nice thing to do is to include a sticker or summat of your oen address so people can easliy write a return card and pretend they were going to all along...

grrr.

hear, hear! I agree whole-heartedly

!!!

otherwise you are sending 2 options:

a - a message that reciever will say 'ahh, thats nice. so and so sent us a card dear, look.', followed immediately by 'ah rats, wheres that persons address? do i even have it? if not i better call them and ask, but then i'll get drawn into a long convo and i havnt spoken to them in 2.5 years so thats a bit embarrasing and anyway i dont have time to do all that because i have a million other things to do...' then the card is displayed somehere, reminding the reciever of their incompetence and social mis-grace all the way throught to january when it finally stops taunting...

or

um, well thats it. one option really.

on a positive note - people who send unreciprocated cards only tend to do so for 3 years or so before they give up and leave you alone.

I was going to put stickers in the cards but does that say that we are expecting a return card ????

I don't mind what people do with the cardss we send if they want to throw them away or put them up but I was wondering about your question

i was being flippant and thinking only of myself actually, sorry about that.

ok - thread shoul;d read; the polite thing to do when sending a acrd to me, would be....blah blah blah...

only coz i feel vaguely guilty that i am not organised enough to send cards out myself. not to worry though, the guilt passes. quite quickly actually
