games to play that are not the usual ones

I would love to get a game for us to play for Christmas.

I personally cant stand Cluedo and Monolopy dh is not a charades type person.

Children are all bar 1 teenagers and last one is 12 so almost.

Any suggestions? There is 6 of us in total too

I haven't played it myself, but I like the sound of Dixit, at least partly because the rules sound fairly simple to explain to everyone.

Settlers of catan (4 players, 6 players with expansion, 8 players with several additions)

Smash Up card game - can be played by plenty if you get expansion decks

If ever there was a time for cards against humanity, this would be it.

Some people object to saying that its just rudeness, but I find it fascinating. The object is to work out what would find funny. A cunning and subtle game, very funny, too. Excellent with people who know each other quite well, or are getting to know each other. Enjoy.
