I have bought some tinned goosefat from sainsburys as i have heard it makes fantastic roasties, however I'm wondering should I use the whole tin and do I let the tatties cook for 45mins or longer (sounds stupid I know)

It makes great roast potatoes and I've always made them in eaxctly the same way as potatoes cooked in dripping or lard, same time, same temperature etc.

Oooh didn't know it came tinned, thought you had to roast a goose! Which aisle was it on?

I have the one from Sainsburys also. Makes fantastic roasties. I use about half the tin for 10 pots. Just make sure its really hot before you put them in, it has a higher smoke point than normal fat so is excellent! HTH
