8 month old dd2 pulled herself up on the xmas tree bucket tonight and the whle thing fell on top of her!! She was fine, looked alittle like a porcupine caught in the headlights!!

Apart from that the bloody tree is half dead so hjave to get another one at the weekend

Anyone else having so much fun yet?!?!

We are doing surprisingly well with ours although ds (2) has taken to kicking it if he's not getting his own way with something!!! Hope you get a nice replacement!!

I thought oour ds would be the worst one, he's 2.6 but he's actually been the most gentle!!

No child related issued - but not a lot of needles left on mine !! Has been up 10 days already ! Dyson is full of needles thoiugh !

ours have been up for just a few days and it's so dry is getting yellow! I may need to get a second one, otherwise my father will spend all the time while visiting telling me about the danger of Christmas trees and fire [rolls eyes emoticon]

Are they meant to drop so many needles already?

I've spent the morning re-arranging the tree after dd's little accident last night!! Hopefully it scared her sufficiently not to do it again!!

Do you have the tree in water and the house not too hot and dry? I think they are supposed to last around 4-6 weeks??? But, I'm not sure. Haven't had a real tree for years.

we put our tree up on monday evening my 1year old grandson had it over tuesday morning when he came dowm and spent the rest of the day trying to pull off the decorations

JollyOldSaintNikkielas · 14/12/2006 20:10

I have always put 1/2 a fireguard round mine as dd2 had a tendancy to climb it [rolls eyes] hopefully now she is 5 she won't any more

Had our second incident this afternoon... dd was desperate for some baubles that are like bubbles. Put them right up high, ds managed to knock one down and it smashed - while I was sweeping it up he went to try and grab a bit so I grabbed it first ... sliced fingers!!

Dreading the third thing!!!
