We have a family tradition of 10 presents per child. No idea why- it just happened! I only have 6 for dd. Her main present is a lovely silver ring.(I'm very excited about it!) She also has a mini umbrella, a sample set of Yankee scented candles, some cashmere socks, a laptop sleeve and 2 books.I need 4 more things. They they need to be gorgeous but small so she can take them on the plane back to university. Budget- about £80. Ideas please????

Blanket scarf? I got a lovely one from M&S, so soft, about £20. Really nice handcream like l'occitane. something for her uni room like a nice cushion? Not bath stuff as i dont think shared bathrooms lend themselves to relaxing soaks.

RalphSteadmansEye · 13/12/2015 10:09

But she's getting a leather journal for her birthday, newballs - you can't write electronically in that!

cathyandclaire · 13/12/2015 10:10

Flavoured vodka, personalised Nutella, cards against humanity game, new naked palette, Pink by Victoria's Secret pants ( 5 for £20 and cute and fun)

Didiusfalco · 13/12/2015 10:13

...sorry you said small, make that a nice cushion cover

LovelyWeatherForDucks · 13/12/2015 11:08

When I was at Uni I loved making my room my own - my favourite thing was some nice fairy lights, habitat do nice ones. Or a colourful IKEA throw. If she has a bus pass, a nice case? Something pretty from Liberty or Cath Kidston? DVD box set? Card game of some sort to play with friends? A funky USB stick for uni work?

Silver earrings that complement the ring
Big tub of Haribo mini bags Smile
Gloves, hat & scarf set

iklboo · 13/12/2015 11:27

YY to grown up colouring book. If Santa DH hasn't got me one & some nice pens / pencils I will be a little disappointed.

ImperialBlether · 13/12/2015 11:35

Does she have a sport? Yoga bag or clothes? Fairy lights. Digital radio. Big velvet cushions from IKEA.

Mominatrix · 13/12/2015 11:40

iTunes gift card
Nice pen to write in her leather journal
small leather pouch - something just big enough to hold keys, bus pass, and some cash to use to go out with

junebirthdaygirl · 13/12/2015 11:48

My dd while at university loved bunting for her room. Also loved entertaining foodwise so any baking or cooking implement.. Small. Fun pillow case. Lipgloss set. Nice belt. Fun family picture in a frame for her room or wooden letters to spell out word. My dd loved personal touches for her apartment.

With those stipulations, my 20 year old would love:
Urban Decay Naked Basics palette
Benefit Hoola bronzer
A gorgeous notebook
Cashmere wristwarmers or lovely knickers

ImperialBlether · 13/12/2015 12:56

Thanks for the Urban Decay recommendation, Remus - I've just ordered that for my daughter.

PurpleThermalsNowItsWinter · 13/12/2015 13:03

Does she have a little thermal travel mug? There's some pretty ones out and they can be inexpensive leaving more money for other things.

katienana · 13/12/2015 13:10

A set of lovely underwear
Make up
Really nice shower gel (flying fox from lush smells amazing)
Scarf, hat, gloves
Photo frame
Memory stick
Magazine subscription
Posh skincare

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 13/12/2015 13:24

Leather pouch is a brilliant idea.

GinIsTheBestChristmasSpirit · 13/12/2015 13:54

I was going to say:

Stationary
Make up brushes
A subscription for something
Compact mirror
