I've had a right going on with them.
I ordered nappies and wipes back on the 21st of November. 2 weeks ago I tried to contact them and after being on hold for 1hr I gave up. I then emailed with no reply so decided to give the phone another try. After 5 mins my call was answered.
I explained my items hadn't arrived and that they were needed as it was nappies for ds. I was told that some of the items were out of stock so thats why they hadnt been delivered, so my money had been refunded. He apolgised that I hadn't been contacted, reorded everything and gave me triple advantage points and free next day delivery whilst keeping the points from the original transaction.
Anyway, the delivery didnt arrive the next day so again I called and they apologised again and gave me delivery for Monday before 1pm for free and 700 advantage points!
Monday night arrived but no parcel. I called again and I got the most loveliest man who was really understanding and apologetic. He said the items will be here this time and not only that he gave me another 1000 points!!!

And apparently I have another 1000 points that I havent picked up, from previous orders!

So well worth the wait IMO!

so is that £100?

NbgSparklyYellowFeathers · 13/12/2006 15:42

I wish!
No 1000 points is £10 so they've given me nearly £30 altogether

But don't forget to go into the store within 7 days to actually get the points put onto your card! One of the stupidest rules I've ever come across - after all, why would you buy online if you were going to go into the store within 7 days? (ok, I can see why for heavy/unavailable stuff, but otherwise?)

LIZS · 13/12/2006 16:33

pami where does it tell you that - I ordered a car seat in the summer and had adssumed it got automatically credited.

NappiesGalooooooooooooria · 13/12/2006 16:39

theyre slippery buggers them boots people... the rules re points online and points instore are so complicated i have given up with online...

glad you got your 3000 points tho

...just be sure to check where when and in what way you are allowed to spend them...

ParanoidSurreyHousewife · 13/12/2006 16:42

Not sure about the 7 day rule - I seem to have had my points added on well after that (by the machines rather than at the till though)

NbgSparklyYellowFeathers · 13/12/2006 19:30

yeah you have them added on by the machines. the 7 day rule is from till receipts.
the guy on the phone told me i had 1000 points back from an order in april that i hadnt collected. i wasnt even aware thats what i had to do.

Hmmm, I've had a couple of Boots.com orders recently and I thought that the delivery note said that I had to go into the store within 7 days to collect the points. So I've gone out of my way to do it, having missed out on a load of points a while ago when I didn't realise (bought a croquet set in the sale, mainly for the 1000 points that I would get for it and then didn't get them ) I still can't work out exactly what I'm allowed to spend them on - the regulations seem very obscure.

Amazingly it has had quite a bit of use (mainly dd2 trying to bash dd1 over the head with a mallet....)

JollyOldSaintNikkielas · 14/12/2006 20:06

You can spend them in the shop, except for meds (but tell them at the till first before they scan stuff )or get treats thoughthe machines (not done this )
