Nutella Jar and free label!

Hi, so I've just received my free Nutella labels and have gone to stick them on the jars but realised the only ones I've got have got free personalised label all across them! The label doesn't fully cover it and don't really want it to have this on!
What has everyone else done? Is there a way of removing the label from a full jar and not ruining the Nutella inside?

It should fully cover it. Did you get the correct size label? Are you trying to put a standard jar label on a large sized jar? If so just buy some smaller jars.

If it helps (from memory) the label covers the front bit only, I think the bar code or ingredients is left as is.

No I've got the 400g label and jar and it only covers the front I've put pics on so you can see how I mean! I thought it would cover all the way round!

Sorry I read that wrong, yes it does just cover the front but the offer for the label is at the back too!

I have ordered mine (not arrived yet) but I'm going to soak the label off (tepid water will shift it)

No it says it's 400g on it and it would fit fine other the top of the other one if it wasn't a promotional jar! The problem is that the advertising for the free personalised label is around the back too where the label doesn't reach!!! I'll have to see if I can find some non promotional jars but the offer is on for a while so I can't see there being any

Tepid water and a brillo pad removes the labels easily.

ooh so it does! Only just noticed that. I dont think it looks bad though and chances are the recipient will not notice.

I soaked the original label off. I left it in a bowl of water overnight, and it was off in the morning.

Thanks Agent, I put mine in cold water just for an hour and they came straight off

White spirt can get the glue off

There wasn't even any glue left on, just came off and left a lovely clean jar

I have got one of these too, does anyone know how to stick it onto the jar and then seal it so that it doesn't come off? I want to use the jar afterwards as a money box or pen pot but assume washing out the jar will remove the new label?

The label you get Is a sticker, but not sure how you could seal it for washing. I was just going to try and wash carefully so not to get the outside wet!

Yes I know it is, a friend of mine has already wrecked hers by washing the jar..
I'm going to put my label on an already washed and empty jar and fill it with something else instead.
