Nice, reasonably thick wrapping paper - where can you buy it?

I've seen the beautiful paper in Waterstones, but it doesn't have to be that thick (or that expensive!)

Most of the paper you can buy in rolls seems pitifully thin and last year it kept tearing.

Has anyone found the holy grail of actual NON-tear-as-soon-as-you-look-at-it paper, on a roll, in copious quantities, for not a vast amount of dosh?

I had one roll that was particularly huge and lasted me 2 years. With EVERYTHING wrapped in it. T'was nice candycane stripe patterns too.

I bought some from WH Smiths. Wasn't sure what the quality was like as it was relatively cheap (£1.80 or something like that) for a roll. It's not paper thin that tears as soon as you wrap it up.

Lidl. Beautiful thick Scandi style paper in big rolls!

Phoenix Trading wrapping paper is fantastic! Really thick, 3 or 4 metre roll and has a cutting guard on the underside.

I have seen some gorgeous wrapping paper on etsy- varying prices! Soooooo tempting!

Waitrose do a 10m roll for £3.00/£3.50 and have them on 3 for 2 at the moment. There are some lovely designs. I bought these

The quality of the paper is fantastic.

I bought some lovely brown Kraft paper with red glittery writing over it. Also agree with Costco, the reversible paper is fantastic!

Another vote for m&s. I bought 3 rolls in a pack with ribbon and labels for £6. One was really thick, hard to wrap smaller stuff in it! It wouldn't bend very well!

IKEA are great too.

Oxfam do nice kraft paper that won't tear.

Lidl wrapping paper is really good - cheap too (think it is only 99p a roll but don't quote me).
