How much have you got left to buy?

I've just made a start on the present wrapping and have realised that I only have about 3 presents left to buy Shock Usually I end up having a bit of a mad rush with one week to go so I'm feeling quite pleased with myself! Absolutely no idea what to buy for the people left though, there's always one who doesn't seem to want or need anything!

How is everyone else doing?

I've finished!
Wrapped everything, just the ribbons and bows to put on nearer christmas so they don't get squashed.

Not too much really. Something for DSS' GF, and my 6yo needs to choose something for one of my DSDs. A couple of token bits for friends/relatives and that's it.

There's a couple of things I'd still like to get DCs but that is technically a twitch...

Haven't wrapped a sodding thing though! Might start today :)

Okay. Since my first post on this thread I have placed a serious amount of online orders and been to real shops today.
I have returned with about 30 carrier bags full of things which I'm going To start wrapping this evening.
I had to keep stopping and trudging back to the car Xmas Hmm
I have done the majority of dc stockings (they haven't done their father Christmas letters yet so will wait and see what appears there) and bought them a couple of tree presents. Main presents from us are in order and will have to wait and see what else they ask for before we know what FC might bring.
And then around 25 people shopper for, so maybe 10 or so to go.
All shopped out now!

I wrapped 10 presents today with the DCs. Although 3 are birthday presents for after Christmas. It's all rather boring wrapping compared to a couple of years ago when I did seriously fancy ribbons and all sorts. This year... fuck it.

I can't actually find the rest of the wrapping paper that I bought in January...

I'm already thinking I'll have to buy more tags though... tempted to just scrawl on the packages with a Sharpie! Not least because I think the tags will fall off in the cupboard.

I'm glad I don't have too many people to buy for - I absolutely love choosing presents for my DCs, DH and DSCs - I do that all year round, I have wishlists for each of them that I sneakily add to whenever I think of something - but having to think of a Christmas gift for anyone else just sends me into a tizz. I've been upfront this year about the fact we can't do much in the way of gifts so that's helped a bit.

Fuzz I'm with you. I was going to ribbon and bow my presents. I can't be arsed with faffing at the minute. I've got a handful of presents left to wrap and I'm done.

I need to clear the kitchen afterwards. It's a bloody state.

Bloody tons and I want to give up.

Just found out my DDad has been taken back into hospital. One of our dogs has had to have surgery(an abcess)and it's cost us £1,000 so far and it still looks like it's not all gone.Angry

I still need to finish of my DDads,Dbrothers,DH's,our 5DC,a couple of our friends,DH's Nan and DH's aunt and uncle, last few bits for the schools and last few bits for our pets and then I'm done.

Feeling sick and fed up but determined to try and get it all done by this time next week.

knittedslippersx2 · 08/12/2015 21:20

Everything, I haven't even started!

NapoleonsNose · 08/12/2015 21:30

Not much to go.

DM - no idea
SIL - know what to buy, just need to get to the shop to buy it.
MIL - just finishing off
Baby DNephew - need to order and get delivered to DB and SIL - love Amazon Prime
DS - just finishing up as had to send back two pairs of jeans as not skinny enough for his twig like legs, so need to order some from somewhere else.
Few bits for DC's stockings.

I think that is it. All spent out until next Tuesday now, so will have to wait until then. Hoping to get it all bought for less than £100.

Meanwhile in the grumpy corner, DH has done sod all towards present buying.

Wagglebees · 09/12/2015 03:24

I finished the last tiny bit today. Being ill has forced usually last minute me to become super organised. Every cloud and all that. [santa]

lavendersun · 09/12/2015 07:05

I have just done my usual - left everything other than the big things for DD & DH until now and just done a JL order delivered to my nearest Waitrose tomorrow.

I do this every year, always vow to shop a bit more price savvy, hate shopping and end up with a big JL bill.

Anyway it is done now, good job because I need most of what I just bought for this weekend!

Now for the endless wrapping, joy.
