Is it up yet? (your tree that is!)

We put our trees up today. One in the living room and one garish, tinsel covered explosion of colour in the conservatory (kindly decorated by my 10 year old who thinks less is not enough :o).

We have lights everywhere, a family of light up penguins and a little scene (Santa, reindeer, sleigh, gingerbread house) on the bookcase.

We have another six boxes of Xmas decorations to root through tomorrow :o

I'm feeling very excited now!

What have you got in your house? Any photos?

We've had ours up for quite a while, but we've neglected to decorate it yet! My husband insisted that we wait until December before we start putting up any of our decorations!

It's been tough, because I love putting up the decorations, but we started yesterday and it's been great!

Ours went up on Saturday. I'm thinking I want to get a new better tree next year though.

We usually have a fake one but are thinking of getting a real one this year, hence the delay. I'm not great at dressing the tree though, so I love seeing all the perfect ones here. Well done everyone

We're not allowed to put up the tree until after DH's birthday on the 17th.

It's our ds2 21st Birthday today and dh on the 11th. Dh doesn't even like the xmas word yet, but ds is a bit better.
I can't wait and consoling myself by working out what we have in the loft and checking lights are working etc.

So for the first time we have a real tree, it fell over and smashed a few of my favourite ornaments this afternoon and it's again leaning to the side.

Any help?

Brandnew what stand do you have it in? It needs to be really wedged in...**

The ikea stand they were selling with the trees. It's got four screws to screw into the trunk.

My stepdads going to come around tomorrow and wedge it in.
