if you don't - they have to be charged for 16 hours before you can use them (like a mobile phone)

so remember to charge them before xmas day

ooh we have got ds1 a psp, i will have to dig the box out and see if this is the same.

S88AHG · 12/12/2006 11:18

Does it have a mains lead to plug in use instead of battery? My daughter is getting one for birthday on saturday and I already wrapped it up!!!

PrincessPeaHead · 12/12/2006 11:19

brilliant, thank you

Avalon · 12/12/2006 11:20

Thanks for that!

Will dig it out and charge it before I wrap it.

annh · 12/12/2006 11:21

Have two of them and have been nagging dh to get them out and charge them pronto! Sixteen hours will be a challenge, think it will have to be done in the loft!

Sherbert37 · 12/12/2006 11:41

Have already wrapped our two and not charged. Can they play them plugged in (sitting next to the socket all Christmas Day?) or do they have to be charged first. Remembered to charge the mobile before wrapping it.

Berries · 12/12/2006 12:02

You can play them plugged in and they will slowly charge. At least you know where the kids will be all day (sat next to the socket!)

loopity · 13/12/2006 10:11

Thanks

asleep · 13/12/2006 10:13

Never even occurred to me - thanks. Means I'll be able to 'test' it as well .

ginnedupmummykissingsantaclaus · 15/12/2006 14:39

Thanks, I had no idea - ex dp has bought ds one for christmas so I'll remind him to charge it

mysonsmummy · 17/12/2006 01:23

thank you - never even thought of it. dont think it chance it to not charge it fully before he uses it. done this once with a mobile phone and the battery was always crap on it.

mousiemousie · 17/12/2006 17:03

Thanks Enid

I didn't know this!

MoreTeaVicar · 18/12/2006 09:49

yulemoonfiend · 18/12/2006 09:56

maggymay · 18/12/2006 13:24

cheeryface · 18/12/2006 16:43

thanx for telling me! i think i better unwrap them now.

can i charge them 8 hours one night and then 8 hours the next?

that wont make a difference will it?

i don't want them to find them!

snuffy143 · 18/12/2006 16:49

Thanks! Don't often post on MN but was alerted to this one. Was going to wrap it tonight but will now be charging it!! You are all stars! We have bought Nintendogs, too...what is it??

PeachyIsNowAChristmasFruit · 18/12/2006 16:52

cheery don't know if its the same with thee, but with mobiles DH (an electrical type) always says no, its bad for the batteires to dot hat and can seriously reduce their life span

But why oh why didn't I see this thread 2 days ago before I wrapped and have packed all our things ready to leave! Shall have a rummage about and hope I find it.

PollyannaInExcelcis · 19/12/2006 09:51

ooh thanks - I didn't know this either.

chopchopbusybusy · 19/12/2006 14:13

I've just charged DDs DS lite before wrapping and it has only taken two hours - says three in the instruction booklet - so don't panic.
