Bugger. The curse of having a birthday close to Christmas!

My DS had his 7th birthday at the weekend and he's ended up with about 4 duplicate presents from friends of what we've bought him for Christmas. This includes the main present that he's asked for from Father Christmas (note: we only do stockings from FC in our house, so when I say main present I actually mean a main stocking filler which this year was a wallet). Bloody annoying (although obviously lovely that he had some lovely birthday presents!). He's written his letter to FC but he knows we haven't 'sent' it yet...so what do I do? Do I get him to rewrite it??

My ds's birthday is in 2 weeks and this often happens resulting in extra trips to the shops to get replacement presents from me. I've learnt over the years not to buy gifts for him in the party price range (between £5-£10)
Other than that there's not much you can do. I would get him to re-write his letter to Santa.

It's even worse having a DH with a birthday a few days after Christmas.
Any genius DW out there who has sussed this?

Ask him to edit the list, maybe with an argos catalogue to help.

Write down who bought him what, and regift the things you now can't give him to other children over the year.
