What are you getting your parents for Christmas?

Title says it all really. I'm struggling this year. We usually buy things like theatre tickets, but I think tbh that they find going a bit of a faff and aren't that fussed.

They won't like spa days, films/boxsets/books, smellies, clothes.

NT places aren't close by.

Got my mum a nice black bag from tk maxx, some By Rosie perfume from M&S, some luxury salted caramel truffles and a calendar of my mogs 😄

For my dad, a selection of vintage ciders and a navy leather wristband from Fossil - oh and some luxury fudge.

What do they like doing? Do they cook?

Mum- nice jacket, photo phone cover, kindle case, chocolate.
Dad- Posh whiskey, Howard Kendall book, growing up in our area in 1950s book, tassimo pods, fudge.
MIL- Jo Malone candle &perfume.
FIL- so far a pair of flip flops...

Last year we got both sets of parents a soup maker, which went down an absolute treat, much better than expected. My parents have used theirs every day for the entire year (slimming worlders, they eat a LOT of soup!)

Wine and gin from a local vineyard and distillery. DC fill big kilner jars with a selection of their favourite sweets, Grandad loves liquorice allsorts.

Mum & Dad: stomp tickets

Mil: frame ( b&m have lovely ones atm so lovely that when saw her yesterday she told me all about this " family" photo frame she just has to have and will go back for it when fil not around as he says she buys too much - had to tell DP to tell her NO as we already got it for her month ago
And a personalised bracelet with the letter l on ( v v personal/meaningful)

Fil: euros and a bonsai tree

-Busy saving for first house so everyone not spending lots this year

Both my parents have passed.

But MIL is getting a personalised photo case for her phone (of the kids) and infinity necklace with both kids names on it. Large ferrero rocher box. Elizabeth arden red door perfume and a voucher for her amazon kindle.

FIL is getting an ELO cd. A pc game(don't ask which) and some new fish (we haven't got the fish yet)

My Mum has passed sadly,but I've bought a special ornament for my Dad to put on they're Christmas tree,a poinsettia for in the house(family tradition)and I'm buying a real minature Christmas tree for my Mum to go on her grave as she always loved Christmas and some nice flowers for on there as well.

My Dad I'm buying some new clothes,new pants and I've bought him some speciality ales and beers and some nice snack bits all the food and drink bits are going into a hamper were making him and I'm making a sweetie hamper from the 5DC for him(he loves his sweeties)he'll tell me off about how much I've spent like he always does but he always loves everything we get him. Smile
