We have an inflatable mattress but it doesn't seem to be very comfy.

Watching with interest as we need to make a decision pretty quickly. I keep looking at the cold up beds but they are huge still when folded up and I'm not sure the DP's can get down to a futon type mattress as an alternative

My dc sleep on the floor in sleeping bags on cushions, or share beds. The guests get their beds.

DC get moved onto camp beds and inflatable beds and guests get theirs. Thankfully no need for a double for guests so we get to keep ours.

Guests get beds of people living in the house. People living in the house sleep on airbeds. Or take the cushions off the sofa and put on floor - that's comfy too.

We got one of the John Lewis single fold out beds that doubles up as a lovely comfy square for sitting on. Perfect

We move the children onto campbeds, plug in air beds into joint rooms, they see that as a bit of an adventure. The adults get their bedrooms.

YY-
guests (unless they are children) get the beds.

Airbeds are ok for occasional use but they need a cover over like a mattress protector otherwise you sweat like a good'un.

I'm looking at a folding campbed (how well timed is Black friday Xmas Grin )

We have a double height Aerobed and family who have slept on it said it was brilliant. Not cheap at about £150 but seems well worth the money. We'll be on it over Christmas as guests with health problems will have our bed, so I hope it's as good as people say!
