Does Santa wrap your gifts?

To date Santa has not wrapped my ds gifts as they are still under 8 I think the rummage into the bottom of the very large stockings is enough. We tend to have all packaging removed batteries fitted etc & ready to go. What does Santa do in your house?

All wrapped and ready to go.

Pulling out unwrapped gifts seems a bit dull to me.

Santa sources wrapping paper bought from a shop DC never set foot in, so they won't wonder why he buys it from tesco etc.

Definitely wrapped - that's half the fun, wondering what's in the parcel and ripping the wrapping to pieces

Santa has way too much to do to wrap presents. But we've always been a "Santa brings the tat and maybe one sizeable present" family - the good stuff comes from family etc.

Santa wraps just about every present in our house. When I was a child the didn't wrap the smaller stocking gifts. Santa's nails are going to be ruined.

Wrapped. Makes you appreciate each thing, increases dramatic tension.

Wrapped up in our house. Santa sources his paper wisely nut tbh I don't think they ever took much notice tbh.

Definitely wrapped. MiL doesn't wrap presents and it pisses me off every single birthday and christmas.

He only brings the extended families gifts to us all and they are mostly wrapped.

DH is the wrapping fairy in this house (ruler, scissors, premium sellotape, shiny twirly bits for the top, tongue poked out in concentration etc). He does it all, I just shove it his way.

I grew up with the idea that Stockings are for entertaining children at 5am before parents are awake, nothing else, therefore each lovingly chosen item of tat needs no extra wrapping or any assistance to use/eat.

Santa only brings one or two things here and he doesn't wrap. Thats how we know they are from Santa. Everything else is from us and wrapped.
Santa puts a selection of wee presents into the stockings and leaves them at the bottom of the bed to keep kids in bed longer!

Rat, please can I borrow your DH? Everything except sweets gets wrapped here. Must start soon - contents of 9 stockings to wrap and that's before the "proper" presents.

You may, reckless! He specialises in odd-shaped presents so if you have any unboxed things with sticky-outy bits he is your man.

Rat,that really made me laugh! My own DH only wraps boxes and if I give him anything oddly shaped he rummages around in the garage amongst the discarded Amazon boxes and emerges triumphant with a box to put the item in so he can wrap it in a bloody box!

Oh yes, presents are wrapped! But not by Santa, the Elves do that .

We don't take presents out of the packaging either - that's what Christmas morning is for obviously .

Nope, not here. My DC are still at an age where they want to scrutinise and play with every item in their stockings, we'd still be upstairs on Boxing Day if they had wrapping paper to contend with as well...

Yes he does. This year he is going to wrap stocking presents in tissue paper, so that we don't wait a life time for the kids to open them!

When we were little my mum picked and bought FC the wrapping paper for him, so it 'matched' her tree and thus answering the 'why does he have the same wrapping paper as you?' question.

Yes, stocking fillers are wrapped, but I recently discovered a time-saving way to do this (essential with 3DCs).

Buy tissue paper, rip roughly into pieces, then scrunch around the present. No cutting or folding, and one (maybe two) pieces of tape does the trick.

And buy one of those little tape dispenser thingies that fits on the back of one hand.

Santa gifts are wrapped in tissue paper in our house, but he only brings stocking gifts (so generally small), anything large will have a bow or ribbon on it and be with the stocking.

All other gifts from family are wrapped as normal.

Yes . I appear to have taken after my dm who always wrapped every single present. My dcs are still so young it wouldn't make a difference if they were wrapped or not but for me it just feels strange having unwrapped presents

In our house Mummy buys the boxes (they're empty of course) of the toys her and Daddy want to get for the DC. Then she wraps them and puts them under the tree and puts her order in with the elves. Santa magics the presents into the boxes on Xmas eve. He brings their stocking fillers so that's how mummy knows what presents are under the tree but is so excited and surprised when stockings get opened.
This story came about after DD ripped a present open under the tree when she was 1 and DS (then 5) wanted to know how a toy was already there before Xmas when santa was supposed to bring them. 'Twas the best thing I could think of at the time!
