ChristmasEvePJs · 24/11/2015 17:14

Pie face code away [santa]

fairyjasmine · 24/11/2015 17:27

Has Amazon just randomly changed the format of the Black Friday deals or have I broken it somehow?? It was all in a long line - click right to see what's coming next - but now it's in this massive grid format.

Frostyleapingholly · 24/11/2015 17:34

That's amazons new layout. Really irritating me. You can filter the search but it's still so much more hassle

PamelaEwing · 24/11/2015 17:40

Thanks bingbong for the Hut Christmas jumpers linky Grin

fairyjasmine · 24/11/2015 17:43

Argh I feared as much... I don't generally mind it when they change these things but halfway through Black Friday seems a rather rubbish time to throw a spanner in the works!

Chocolateteabag · 24/11/2015 18:01

thank you firefly - just to add the Hobbycraft code only works on full price items

ChocolateWombat · 24/11/2015 18:20

Flavourly problem - took out a subscription (3 monthly)under understanding it could be cancelled anytime. Their website even says 'cancel with no bull shit'

Received first bargain box and went to cancel.

Website now says I Have failed to receive the minimum number of boxes (no mention of what the minimum is) amd I MIGHT have to pay up to £6.

Then, if you WNS to cancel, you have to click on a box which says 'cancel and charge me'

I'm not happy to click on a box giving them authority to charge me an unspecified amount. They have no phone number for contacting them.

I guess this is a case of 'too good to be true' as an offer.

Does anyone know if it is lawful to not be clearer on the website that charges apply if cancelling, mor if it is lawful to not specify what the minimum order is to avoid charges, or to not clarify in the terms and conditions exactly what the exact charges are.

I am really annoyed with them and suspect many MNers will feel the same shortly, as so many of us took it out, just planning to have 1 box.

Any other experiences of cancelling ?

Thanks.

Reastie · 24/11/2015 18:20

Could someone link to the eBay MLP bag please? I've missed it and want to put it in the next list.

chocolate they have a Twitter as well

RJnomore1 · 24/11/2015 18:31

I've cancelled flavourly before with no issues. The problem is when you take a 3 month or more subscription. You get a further £1/2 discount per box don't you. If you take out a three month subscription they expect you're going to be with them three months.

Cancelling isn't a problem but you don't get your discount . Im quite fond of flavourly as a company and I can't see they are doing anything wrong. Obviously they want to encourage repeat business with the extra little discount. (No I don't work for them Blush)

ChocolateWombat · 24/11/2015 18:45

Hi RJ, but do you think they make it clear enough that there is a charge for cancelling on the 3 month subscription?
They make it clear that you can cancel anytime....say this lots of times.
Is it okay for them to apply an unspecified charge for cancelling? I cannot see anywhere, even in the terms and conditions where they specify what the charge for early cancellation is.

I wouldn't mind, if it had said clearly on the website that you have to stay for a minimum period, more will have to pay back the discount....but that isn't clear at all. At no point either did I see anything which said I was agreeing to their terms and conditions or had read them.

I understand that they need to make money and that if people have a cheap box and cancel then they won't. But they need to make the financial implications of different options clearer, as far as I'm concerned.....it shouldn't be a surprise when there are financial implications.

I suspect I won't be the only one who comes unstuck as a result of this. Might be my fault....but the company certainly don't go out of their way to make the implications clear at all.....and asking someone to click on a box which says 'yes, charge me to cancel' without specifying the amount seems very wrong.

I will say no more on this thread, but will start a separate one about this I think.

Enjoy your beers everyone!

TimonAndPumbaa · 24/11/2015 18:45

Sorry reastie, I was going to post the name of the ebay seller with the mlp bags wasn't I. It's 4368940 (yes their user name is a number!). They were around £5.50 including postage. I had the rainbow dash one and it's gorgeous. Hope someone is able to link for you.

Prizepudding · 24/11/2015 18:51

I got dobble from Amazon a couple of weeks ago, it was £7 so would imagine it would be around this price on lightning deals. It is currently £9 which is not bad but has consistently been at £7 for weeks so likely they have bumped the price to make it look a better deal

MegBusset · 24/11/2015 18:57

How do I find out what items are in the Amazon deals for tomorrow?

scandichick · 24/11/2015 19:00

Meg, you can just search for upcoming deals, they seem to give you 24 hours in advance.

Questionsquestionsquestions · 24/11/2015 19:05

Does anyone know a way of getting one of the Superdry beanie hats (one of the plain block colour ones like this one with any kind of discount? I can't think of any of the stores that stock them having voucher codes - any thoughts anyone? Thanks :)

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 24/11/2015 19:15

I got 2 morphibians cars on amazon a shark one for around £7.50 and a police car one for about the same.

rainbow umbrella amazon have an umbrella hat which is rainbow patterned? i contemplated getting one each for dd's they are only £2.40 each Grin

RJnomore1 · 24/11/2015 19:17

Sorry but it states very clearly here in the terms and conditions that you can indeed cancel flavourly any time but if you signed up for a three six or twelve month subscription there will be a fee based on the discount you received.

www.flavourly.com/terms/

I cannot see how this is in any way unfair or unclear?

RJnomore1 · 24/11/2015 19:19

Oh but I agree they should tell you the amount before you agree to it for clarity.

Anyway sorry, as you were...

Pinkladymel · 24/11/2015 19:20

pipersorange went in to TIGER today and they had rainbow umbrellas for about £5 (full size)

itsonlysubterfuge · 24/11/2015 19:33

You know what's weird, in America it's not TK Maxx, it's TJ Maxx.

Thank you for the Busy Book recommendation, I'll have to check my local one and see if they have any.

CousinChloe · 24/11/2015 19:34

Thanks for the micro scooter leaflet up thread - does anyone know the best place to actually buy a micro scooter? Looking for a mini one for DD

SummerNights1986 · 24/11/2015 19:35

Does anyone know the best place to buy Lego Minecraft stuff? Or advice on which sets are the best value? It's difficult to tell the size on the internet, I can't tell if i'm looking at a huge box or a set the size of a pack of playing cards!
