Can anyone help me out?

I need 2 letter writing sets of grans...anyone seen any good sets for a bargain?

Also, any deals on 'That's not my...' books as I need to buy 7!

snowgirl1 · 27/11/2015 19:44

Does anyone know where I can get some inexpensive Christmassy hairclips from? Flowers

chanie44 · 27/11/2015 19:45

Nomanjan- sajnsburys often sell the 'that's not my' books for £2.99. I think I bought a set of 3 last year for about £6 and I divided them up as presents.

NoManJan · 27/11/2015 19:49

Oh fab channie I will check out Sainsbury's

lazzaroo · 27/11/2015 19:50

You could also try the book depositery for 'that's not my' books, they have up to 50% off and free delivery.

WH Smiths also often do the gift sets that you could split.

Bizzledizzle · 27/11/2015 19:50

I need some nice boys pjs! Saw Hatley had some for £6 but they had sold out of the sizes I needed, now naturally I don't want to spend any more than that! I need 2 x 6-12 months and 1 x 5yr old

Also need Heelys, some nice boxes for hampers and ideas for a 4 year old boys birthday and then a xmas pressie (budget for both is £10 bday £10 xmas)

LikeSilver · 27/11/2015 19:52

snowgirl1 Primark? My DD got several to wear to school.

snowgirl1 · 27/11/2015 19:55

Littlesilver thanks!

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 27/11/2015 19:59

We're the hatleys pjs on their website for £6. I really want the tractor ones but DS won't use them much so £20 is a bit steep!!

curriegirl · 27/11/2015 20:01

Sorry for the late request but best Yankee candle deals if anyone has seen them today?

ExasperatedAlmostAlways · 27/11/2015 20:05

Snowgirl claires has at least forty percent discount on all stock.

FilthyRascal · 27/11/2015 20:08

Also would like to know where the Hatley £6 pyjamas are - they're lovely quality and really sweet designs, they always pass down between the boys looking like new.

Does anyone else think Black Friday has been a bit rubbish this year? Was planning on getting most of my shopping done today, had cleared the day and everything and I've really struggled to find anything Confused got the playmobil fire station for 23£ for ds last night which was good and a set of walkie talkies and that's all!

Slightly panicked now as those two items are the entirety of my shopping and the children break up from school next week!

Anyone seen any good deals on iPads? The discounts on john Lewis / tesco are a bit measly at about £20 off, but is that as good as it gets?

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 27/11/2015 20:12

Yes I think it's been rubbish compared to last year. Still managed to spend way too much though Hmm. In addition to my search for bargin hatley tractor pjs I am trying to find some christmas dinosaur ones. I loved the joules tree Rex ones but they don't start small enough Angry Angry looking for age 2

Bizzledizzle · 27/11/2015 20:13

There wasn't many at £6 but they were all sold out, they did have other reductions on there Hatleypjs

TobleroneBoo · 27/11/2015 20:22

currie Debenhams was good for Yankee candles, not sure if still running

ihatethecold · 27/11/2015 20:25

filthy
have you tried Selfridges?
They have 20% of most departments today, code is upthread.

I managed to get 20% of a Bose wireless speaker so im well chuffed

margaritasbythesea · 27/11/2015 20:34

Very underwhelmed by Black Friday. I nearly twitched a couple of times but didn't. It is only in the last 2 or 3 years that it has become such a thing but it seems to have died already. I'm particularly miffed at the lack of Sylvanians stuff. I was relying on that!

On a positive note, I can recommend KLOO games. They are language learning games that are really fun and easy. I was put on to them by another mum with kids growing up with two languages and they are really effective. You do need to be able to read a bit but we manage by being on 5 yo DS's 'team'. If you sign up for their newsletter they eventually offer you 20% off and I think I got free postage too because I bought one of their big board games. Best of all, after having it for a couple of weeks they have now written to me offering to send a free game of my choice in return for writing an amazon review. The one they are sending me is worth £25 Shock They did the same thing with my friend too so it might be worth it for some.

Pigleychez · 27/11/2015 20:41

NoMan The Works do cheap writting stationary. www.theworks.co.uk/search/writing%20set

Venture RL shopping today... mad idea! Not sure if it was because of Black Friday but everything was SOOOO busy! I'll stick to online.. Piss off the postman even more :)

SweetPeaPods · 27/11/2015 20:48

That's not my books are on tesco direct in the club card boost so effectively half price or free which ever way you look at it!

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 27/11/2015 20:54

Found a tv for dd at Argos, no reduction today (I waited just in case) do you think Argos will do any promo's before Christmas now?

PontyGirl · 27/11/2015 20:57

For anyone waiting for the soap and glory star gift, a lovely assistant in their store today told me it's the £60 one that will be down to £30 and it should be the week before xmas.

Misty9 · 27/11/2015 20:58

Pretty underwhelmed by Black Friday - but rocketdog website has some great half price offers and I've ordered two pairs of boots to try :)

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 27/11/2015 21:02

Me too, was hoping to get the kids sorted out but ended up mostly buying stuff for myself. Ffs.

EmGee · 27/11/2015 21:05
