DS has asked for a very specific pair of trainers and I can't find any way of getting so much as 1p off them... Xmas Envy

wyldstile · 24/11/2015 21:08

MLP bag link for Reastie (I didn't buy one but I might have bought a cuddly pony and a cuddly hulk... They had better get here in time!)

wyldstile · 24/11/2015 21:14

I did my one and only trip to real, actual shops yesterday. Chuffed with my discovery of Matey bubble bath for £1 in Wilkinsons, if anyone else needs it. And an avengers mug in a pound shop. For a pound.

BirdingWidow · 24/11/2015 21:20

What was the Gap 40% off code? I have looked back through the thread and Reasties OP and can't find it.... Ta!

ChristmasEvePJs · 24/11/2015 21:20

Reastie there is a thread title if ever I saw one... 'And an avengers mug in a pound shop. For a pound.' Wyldstyle Xmas Grin

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 24/11/2015 21:21

Prev poster asked for 3yr old boys gifts and I second busy books we have loads my 5yr old loves them also something we discovered last year are Vtech switch and go dinos there are loads of them varying sizes and prices and are transformers for 3-8yr olds often at least 40% off when on offer on Amazon we have alot now and have been very popular as party/bday gifts for 4/5/6 bday parties as I stashed a load last yr when the launcher one was 70% off on Amazon (yes I brought 6 for about £5 each!)

That Vtech toot toot airport from argos is a bargain it's normally around £25 other places I got it for £13 earlier this year ready for ds2 for Xmas.

purplepandas · 24/11/2015 21:25

Agh, that did not work either. I will try again and give up if no joy.

RJnomore1 · 24/11/2015 21:25

Pjs tell us the trainers I bet one of us can find something!

Ilikesweetpeas · 24/11/2015 21:27

Has anyone seen any offers on the flicker type scooters, or have any opinions on which ones are good? DD would really like one but there seems to be a variety of types and I'm not sure what to go for. She's a fairly tall 8 year old so it needs to be a big one. If anyone has personal experience of them I would appreciate hearing about recommendations for what to go for please!

Also, I need some token gifts for volunteers who help me at work - about £3-4 each. Any brainwaves?! Thank you

ChristmasEvePJs · 24/11/2015 21:31

Ok RJ, here goes. He has asked santa for a pair of NIKE JORDAN ECLIPSE 'BERLIN' trainers. So far all I am coming up with is direct from NIKE at £115!!! Xmas Shock. Any help is greatly appreciated.

wyldstile · 24/11/2015 21:33

ChristmasEvePJS Grin just that thought has made my night . It was only in the interest of clarity, for us overwhelmed festive types. Star [santa] Star

RJnomore1 · 24/11/2015 21:33

Right I will ask dh he is a bit of a trainer addict enthusiast. He does usually prefer Adidas but I bet he knows somewhere with a discount code.

I may not actually see him til about Friday though just to warn you!

winewolfhowls · 24/11/2015 21:35

Ooh switch and go dinosaurs you say, I feel a mega twitch coming on

WindTheFrog · 24/11/2015 21:40

Wow I can not keep up with these threads! Plus I'm jealous of all the Christmas names.

Thanks for the heads up on the boden voucher expiring. I'm going to order DMum some jeans with it. Any idea how they size up?

ipswichwitch · 24/11/2015 21:40

Paw Patrol busy books were in our big tesco for £5. They also had Christmassy paper plates, cups and napkins for £1 odd.

Ilikesweetpeas · 24/11/2015 21:43

Wind the frog- I find Boden to be a bit on the small side. I'm a 10/12 depending on the fit but always a 12 in Boden.

ipswichwitch · 24/11/2015 21:47

I have to 2nd the dinosaur that pooped Christmas book recommendation. It's great - DS1 got it last Christmas (was 3yo then), and loves it so much we've got the others in the series - the dinosaur that popped a planet; pooped the past; and the new one, the name of which escapes me. There is definitely dinosaurs and poop involved though.

ChristmasFairyLights · 24/11/2015 21:50

Can anyone remind me of the cheapest place to buy heelies? Thanks in advance Xmas Smile
