Feeling festive... [[[humour me while I get all schmaltzy]]]

Just sat in DD's bed with DD and DS and watched The Snowman and The Bear back to back. All cuddled up, with the glow of pink fairy lights from DD's tree, eating popcorn. FAB

We went to see some reindeer today and sang Christmas songs all the way home. DS sang us his song that he's singing in his Christmas play on Tuesday!

It has taken away the stresses of getting ready for Christmas amd juggling work and school committments completely and I've realised that snuggling in bed watching The Snowman with my kids is what they will remember, not what presents they get.

It's taking all my strength not to crack open the Tia Maria and really get into the Christmas spirit!

I've got a warm festive glow at the moment -probably something to do with the fact I'm drinking a glass of wine whilst watching DP write our Xmas cards for the first time ever.

Noooooo, I'm using not having ice as my deciding factor. It'll be horrible without ice right? Won't it. I'll wish I hadn't opened it. Won't I?

It's a slippery slope because if I open the Tia Maria, I'll open the After Eights and before I know it I'll be singing Auld Lang Syne and will have peaked too early! [fgin]

just to clarify -its not our first Xmas together, its because he never writes them, it always seems to be my job.

Im feeling all Christmassy too. Put tree and other decorations up and house now feels so cosy and kids are hyper. Took about an hr longer to get them both in bed.
