pea and stilton soup done; cranberry and apple stuffing done; Nigella's chocolate fruit cake (which smells delicious) in the oven. blimey do I feel smug. (and if anyone comes to tell me they did all theirs in November I don;t want to hear it) . Even better I managed it without dh making funny comments about not going overboard...

Well I know which house I'm going to be round for Christmas Day...

Seriously impressed, hatwoman... I've done bugger all :/

Ohhh that all sounds lovely. Especially the chocolate cake. I would love the cranberry recipe if it is possible as Im going for a ILs meal on Sunday and would like to take something along as a gesture towards their hosting the meal.

thanks brooke

Brilliant not too complicated !!. I shall brave sainsburys at Shrewbury tomorrow for ingredients after visting the Victorian Market.

Fingers crossed at the moment as my Last minute Christmas Cake ( Ideal Home Christmas Edition) is in the oven two more hours to go. Worried as it the first time in my new oven and its a bit furnace like. So turned it down from recommendation.

Im having a quick rest then Ill tackle the clearing up.
