hmmm xmas lies

dd1 spent today at grandmas house putting their tree up. she put the angel on the tree according to grandma. she is telling us she didnt. she wanted to put the star on our tree, but is lying about having done it at grandmas. so dd2 put the star on ours, dd1 now in tears and has been told off for lying. admittingly its a small thing, what would you have done?

do u know that she really did puyt the angel on the tree at grandmas? my ds1 gets muddled up sometimes and may have thought i had asked him if there was an angel on the tree..no matter how many ways i phrased it

yes, we have been told by uncle that she did it.

in that case i would have done the same thing as you and not let her put teh star on the tree at home

oh hold on, is that you misdee? dd1 is quite old isn't she? old enough to know about lying

she is 6. and lies a lot, and gets told off each time for lying, and 'punished' (usually time out to think about it, this time NOT putting the star on the tree)
