tiny (size and price) advent presents for teens

Thought we could have an inspiration thread for filling those advent houses for teens.

DC are 13. Some years ago a lovely elderly relative gave them a string of miniature buckets with the most amazing advent gifts inside, and I want to revive it for one last year before they outgrow it.

Looking for inspiration for small things to fit inside the mini buckets that would appeal to 13 yr old boys. (But add things for girls too for the thread)
ideas so far:

guitar picks (can anyone think of a piano player's equivalent?)
individual chocolates
mini Tiger nutmeg grater (both DC love cooking and spices)
sugar crystals on sticks that you stir into hot chocolate
hot choc sachets
mini sparklers/Bengal matches

You can always top up with 'promise' vouchers, like 'movie night with popcorn', ice-skating etc.

Forgot the obligatory finger-lights

You can get bundles of samples of various smellies on eBay, I always thought they might be good for advent calendars.

Attheend that sounds great. They are quite into gassing the house with Lynx their smellies. What words would they be tagged with? You've just reminded me - you can get travel sized Original Source and Tresemme stuff too. They'd like those.

Key rings and mini lego - good ideas. They're doing a Big Bang mini lego aren't they? They'd love that.

Last year I ordered some make up for DD rom debenhams and it came with 20 free samples which went in her advent calendar.

search lush samples, david beckham samples, ralph lauren samples, mens samples etc on ebay for mini smellies, also mini soaps in bodyshop and in lush they do toner tabs with tea tree for face steaming - great for spotty boys :)

mix of ideas for both sexes

£5 starbucks voucher?, nail file/buffer block, drawing pins, matches, mini pens/pencils, mini sharpie permanant markers, pin badges, iron on jeans patches, nose strips for blackheads, highlighters, erasers (paperchase do some tiny ones shaped like burgers etc) , pencil sharpeners, mini post it notes, mini pack of cards, whistle, magnet, paperclip, bookmark, tiny torch, earring/ear stretcher, cufflinks, necklace, charm for bracelet, zipper pull, nail gems, hairslide, hair bobble, ear cuff, ring, dog tag necklace, mini roll of washi tape, pot of glitter, wethers original/celebration/choc eclair/choc coin

For DSS's advent calendar a few years ago I did a big order of random foreign sweets from Cyber Candy which he loved especially the stuff with rude names

Tiger stores are great for random things.

I got pinboard pins shaped like a tiny plastic duck

Small shot glass sized double lined (with the airgap between the layers of glass) coffee glasses

Tiger is great isn't it? Does anyone have a Hema near them? It's amazing this year. Gorgeous notebooks from 99p, lovely pinboard pins and stationery sets in mini plastic cases from £2. There is nothing in Wilko or Poundland this year. Wonder why.

I play piano but can't think of any small equivalent to guitar picks.

Ooh this thread's fab! My girls are younger but I'm off for bits and bobs to finish their advent calendars tomorrow & have added some of these to my list. They'd love the hot chocolate spoons and shaped paperclips stationery thieves

Boots have a benefit mini set for £25 here my DD would love these.

Seen the chocolate spoons in lots of places this year, from John Lewis to Lidl. (JL had a funny version with a dripper of brandy attached, for much older teens!)

I'm getting them new door keys cut in funky colours so we know whose is whose. And I'll get them some bright lanyards and key rings to fix them onto their school bags with.

MrsMolesworth you have a Hema shop near you? In the UK? Lucky you, I've only seen them in Holland and I loved it!

I bought old fashioned brown paper lunch bags from Home Bargains and I have cut out a heart from some glittery paper- stuck it on the front and attached labels to each with the numbers on of each day. Will hang it from her door handle each day

I made DD advent stocking years ago and I thought it'd be nice to carry on using them but I know she'd love a beauty advent calendar so I've bought loads of travel sizes, mini cosmetics and things like face mask sachets and am going to fill the stockings with those. I also bought the Wilco beauty calendar which was only £5 and took all the stuff out! Loads of nail stickers, glitter pots etc which she will love (I hope!)

GreenTriangle it's lovely isn't it? There's one in Kingston on Thames and there are others round the country afaik. They are expanding into UK.
