Help with present for 5 year old girl

My dd is almost 5 and we're pretty stumped for present ideas. She loves all things 'girly' - fairies, princesses etc - but prefers toys that are people rather than animals. I'd love to get her some sort of play set that could be added to over time so needs to have longevity, ideally with dolls whose clothes you can change. Essentially, I think I'm looking for something like Sylvanians but with people - any ideas?

Budget is not huge, probably £25-30 ish for an initial set.

Thanks!

Playmobil.
Look at their website, loads of themes available, much more than you see instore.

This one is within price and comes with an 'outfit' change.

Definitely the playmobil fairies series. Mine love theirs

She might like a Design-a-Friend Doll from Argos.

Thanks everyone, I have to admit that the playmobil figures have never really appealed to her, they need to either be cuter or more realistic I think! Any other ideas? I've been browsing online but nothing's standing out. Maybe I'll have to take her to toys r us or something, we're just a long way from anywhere she can go to look at toys.

Have you had a look at the Disney Magiclip dolls - you can get a big set for about £22 from Smyths and then add different dolls that aren't included. My dd loves them and uses her Sylvanian family house/playmobil pirate ship as a base for them. The dresses clip on and off so you can swap them.

You can't change the clothes - but if you want realistic, have you looked at Schleich fairy and elf figures?
I think their fairy/fantasy range is called Bayala. Fairly expensive, but can be added to over time, and maybe she can purchase individual figures with pocket money in future as she builds up a collection.
My DD collects animals. They are very well made, likely to last a long time imo.

Thanks for all the ideas. Really can't decide. I just noticed Lottie dolls mentioned on another thread - does anyone have these, are they popular? I like the clothes sets but they are pricey in comparison to other dolls...

Lego. There are pink kits. Just amazing!

Le Toy Van do a range of beautiful wooden fairy castles and budkins dolls. Dolls are around £6 each, unicorn and carriage is less than £30 on Amazon and includes a budkin fairy. Fairy castles can be found on Ebay and Amazon from £50.
