A rocket for a 2.5yo?

Can anyone recommend a decent rocket ship suitable for a 2.5yo? Ideally one he could put astronauts in. I'd prefer a wooden one as I am a snob but he'd probably prefer one with lights and noise Grin

Any recommendations?

The happyland rocket is excellent. But not wooden.

It has astronauts, a bed which flips up to reveal a toilet and a moon buggy which can drive off. It's still used regularly by my 4 year old. It has lights and sounds.

If you definitely want a wooden one then the Hape discovery centre might be a possibility?

Wow! toys do one. It's quite nice - the top flips up and you can put an astronaut in and it has a little string bit you pull to make it judder like it's taking off!

Yes to the happyland rocket, DS got it when he was 3 and it is fab. Lights, liftoff noises, moon buggy and astronauts. We have only just sold it at his school charity fair, he is 7 now! And the rocket is still going strong.

The HappyLand one looks great. And only £25!!

I've not heard of Wow! Toys - worth a look too.

Thanks both Smile

happyland one excellent - have played with it at playgroups. My nearly 3 year old though loves this very small playbill one which only fits one man in but he absolutely adores it and has played with it every day for a year.

We bought the happy land rocket for DS last year. It's good but the doors do constantly come off, designed to come away easily rather than snapping. Easy to put back on though. It's a decent size, looked at the Wow one but it is a lot smaller.

Argos have a wooden one for sale.

mamabluestar · 15/11/2015 21:04

Sorry not argos, its Asda

I've bought the HappyLand one! £24 from the ELC - showing as double that on Amazon at the moment.

Thanks all!
